I've sent another email and left another voice mail. He usually responds promptly, so I'm guessing he's a bit overwhelmed with other projects - though I agree it would be nice to have a bit of an update, and maybe a hint as to when he might get to this. Don't Know

Well, aside from these recent reports of WR CU being down, I'm not any closer to resolving my blank screen on any video cams coming out of Wildearth. Except Lafarge. I've emailed the Web master at Wildearth and I was surprised to get an email back but it was a - I have to put my thinking cap on tomorrow and I haven't heard back since. I'm trying not to be a pain. But I've done everything I could think of and even what some other's have suggested. So for me. All the HWF and Wildearth cams are down - except Lafarge - and there's not much going on there.

I've done massive amounts of troubleshooting as thorough as I would with any client and am really baffled. Any one with geeky friends that know windows Vista. with all the latest patches updates and Microsoft Security and firewall. Adobe Flash and Java and drivers. etc. stumped I tell you just plain frustrated. - thanks forr reading and considering options.

It's easy to see you are knowledgeable and more than capable of solving this sort of issue so I can only imagine the frustration. The only other thing I can think of (and you may have explored this already) is to have a chat with your ISP to see if for some reason they are 'blocking' the streams. (I don't even know if that is possible) It'd be super to see you posting at Lafarge if you happen to see any activity there. At least you can see the water and our wonderful mountains as the cam pans... hug

PS~~ Have you checked to see if you can watch Cameras which are on U-Stream? I don't know what it would tell you one way or the other but maybe if you could see them it would give you a hint?

Thanks Terry, Yes, I can view any other streaming video on the web so far - and believe me without cable I do a lot of online viewing. I do appreciate the suggestions too - because I'm tapped. I've even googled the issue to only find the links back here and to WE. LOL or folks using Linux - that's why its' frustrating. I feel like I'm the only one in the world with all the MS updates and flash and security - and tested them by taking them down - i.e. firewall and a/v to see if they were blocking it. Starting to get paranoid now and maybe WE don't want me watching their cams or something - if it was one browser or one computer but for me its' desktop and laptop on wired DSL connection - so perhaps the ISP - is next in line. I hate calling tech support - they say stupid stuff like - reboot your computer and router and - well, - just to make a point I used to work for this ISP and so I have done everything I can on this end. If only I could get to their Networking support level guys. Bottom line is Yes. I can view Ustream and the other nest cams etc.

<banging head on wall>

oh and I even switched out my ethernet card incase it was failing - far reach but. it was worth a try.
