The lafarge Cam seems to have been adjusted (or misadjusted? ) so that we no longer have a complete view of the artifical nest railing -- and it's a very common perching spot. Help, please.

Culprit for the Lafarge cam being off center it was blown around Richard due to the wind...we had a very blusterious wind today in metro Vancouver and Burrard Inlet....Judy

Thanks, Richard, for fixing the panning shots. Do we know why everything was so black and we couldn't see anything last night??

ETA I am just sitting here watching the cam pan through its cycle and realized just how lucky we are to have such a beautiful cam!! Inspite of the branches partially screening the nest, IMHO, it is equally as impressive as the WR view! Always changing with the harbour traffic coming and going! Thank you Lafarge, HWF and Richard for Keeping this cam up and running! Especially now since we no longer have the Sidney and Hornby nests!

Both Delta OWL cams are down. I'm going to see if I can restart the encoders.

Update -
The problem is beyond the small-scale magic I can work. I've sent an email to Richard, Ken and Peter of WildEarth, as I'm not actually sure who needs to do what to fix it.

Update 2 - 7:58 am
I heard back from Peter, and he had checked the WildEarth servers and they were working fine (which I suspected because Delta 2 was fine, and I think they're on the same server at WE). Peter also confirmed that the cam computers were working fine, which meant that the problem was somewhere on the internet between BC where the cams are and South Africa where the servers are. No clue what the issue was - but I just checked again, and was able to restart both cams, so all is well now.

Delta 2 is down - it says:

Hi Richard,

WR cams didn't adjust for the time change for me. I see other s'caps showing the correct time. Is there something I can do to fix that?

Thanks

(I got the same giggle Nightowl got!)
