Hello Ed, you got some wonderful shots of many different eagles. Left thumb up Looks like you had a really good weather day. Not so much here on Fri when we had some unsuspected eagle activity right out our front window here in Gibsons BC. It started about 11:00 am when Hubbie spotted an adult eagle sitting in a tree on an adjacent property to us. First pic will show approximate nearness to our balcony. Rest are zoomed in.

On zooming in to the picture I discovered how very bloody this eagle was. I had questioned whether there was still brown feathering on the head. Nope, a bloody adult.

A neighbour inadvertently scared it away so it flew to the top of a higher tree and took up the pose of very wet wings.

Eventually it disappeared, until about 3:00 pm when I saw it fly by low, circle and land in a neighbour's back yard. We climbed a low rock retaining wall to see what was happening and on making it to higher ground where we could see it flew up and back to the same tree. Sad I guess we were too close.

We looked carefully in the yard it had landed in to find partially eaten prey. Due to lack of a feathery mess we determined it must have been something either hairy or furry, a significant size such as rabbit or smallish pet. Cry Hanky Even zoomed in, we couldn't determine what the prey was.

It sat in the tree looking down. I'm thinking it started with a poop shot then sat looking at the prey below.
