Thanks jewill..that was a very interesting segment on those organizations, including "our" O.W.L., that do so much good work for our wildlife friends. It was so nice to see Bev release yet another eagle back into the wild...what a beautiful juvie! Hopefully that segment will help them all raise some much needed funds.

Here is the link to the News Hour story; it's about several wildlife rehab facilities in the Metro Vancouver area, not just OWL. There is a commercial at the beginning and the eagle release is at the end

Wildlife Rehab Dec. 7th

A very good story overall! I was glad I caught it....

MORE Press news!!

Video CameraSitting eagle Hello everyone! I got a message from Karen earlier today to let me know that All the local media outlets were meeting David out at Chehalis today to do some news stories. With the large number of eagles out there I hope we get some good publicity. Please, spread the word -- Check the BC news outlets' evening and late night news programs to see if we got some good coverage. Video CameraSitting eagle

Thanks, Terry

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

I am just wondering if anyone has been watching this site and if they have seen the eagles?

This was on the Global TV news last night:

Owl caught in leg-hold trap

While it's a very disturbing story the little guy is going to be OK.

Jacx: the eagles are in the area but their activity (what there is of it) is documented here: 2012 Cam Discussion Thread

Sad How sad Judy. Great coverage for OWL though. There has to be a positive to such a cruel act occurring.

It's always good to see OWL in the news and sweet to see our young people supporting charities, I'm confident that OWL's educational outings can be life altering.

That is so wonderful - and I can just imagine how thrilled she was to have a chance to hold the little owl that was going to benefit from her gift! WOW! love

Thanks for bringing the story here, Gail!
