Am I right in remembering that the eagles for this nest were later than the other pairs in returning to their nest last season? When did they start fixing up their nest?

The first time we observed them actually in the nest was February 16, though I think they'd been seen perched in the tree before that; the first egg was March 10.

2;42pm here to watch for a while

It seems to me this pair do not do a lot of nestorations before laying. It's hard to know why but I am hopeful they will get with the program this season. However they proceed, I wish them lots of luck for a successful season, finally.

With White Rock Eagles and the other Delta Eagles visiting their nests now - I was wondering if the Eagles in this nest do not have the inner clock telling them it is time to reclaim their nest because they were not successful with their eggs last season. Just wondering!

I was just mulling over that same line of thought, phuddy. If they have a 'faulty' inner clock it would perhaps explain their being unable to hatch their young :question:
