What did Ma just bring into the nest via 9:00? Doesn't Pa sound funny?

Looks like some nesting material. Pa moves a stick to 6:00 then flies off nest. Ma settles on egg.

Ma (?) comes in to relieve Pa (?) after he was calling a bit... She had some nesting materials with her:

Pa gets up and they gaze at the reluctant egg:

Pa moves a stick at 4 o'clock and then leaves out 9 o'clock door.

Mum wriggles down onto the nest bowl, facing 8 or 9 o'clock.

Pa & Ma taking a peek. After Pa exits, Ma settles over her egg and does a little rearranging of materials. She is facing 8.

At about 12:23 she had already been up and moved egg - now facing away from camera:
Probably a good idea to mention her restlessness - now she's calling

She squawks -- at first I thought she was "talking" to the chick bec. it was so plaintive and soft (for Ma) but now head in air, higher pitch; wants Pa. Now softer again but continuous. About 12:37 PDT now.

It's wonderful to hear the little chick peeping and calling as it works at breaking the egg

Mom is upset about something calling out
several times; looking all around and then hunkers down
abit more on the egg.

Windy

1237 pm
Mom continues to incubate but is calling; throwing her head back and trilling too.
Perhaps an intruder in area.
No sign of mate.
Seated high and head and tail feathers fluffed out by the wind.

1241 pm
Mom is more relaxed now; beak open panting to cool off.

1242 pm
Mom remains seated; calls out again briefly.
