I certainly hope to get out to the nest site more often in the next few weeks and if I'm lucky, I'll catch them mating. It was Feb. 23rd when sandragee and I witnessed them mating last year; and the 1st egg was laid Mar. 1stLeft thumb up

She's quite precocious, then. From what I understand, bald eagles don't reach maturity until 5 y.o. and often don't reproduce successfully for a few more years. To successfully breed at 4 y.o. is remarkable.

Elle, thanks for posting that screen s'cap. It is one of my favorites, so sweet. I'm waiting with much anticipation for our 2010 Sidney eaglets! I will be jumping for joy when I see that first egg.
