Woohooo Dede we’ll get our talons into hubby soon if we have him chuckling now. Just wait for those little fuzzy bobbles that outta put on the finishing touches! I’m glad you liked the video and that’s so cool you got to see your first eagle! Isn’t that exciting? I couldn’t even breathe with my first one I was so shocked. I’m happy for you love

I would rather spend my life close to the birds than wishing I had wings

Nodding Lori - yes it was REALLY shocking and of course people like mmud see and photograph absolute fields full of Balds (herds of 'em Titter) and I love those photos. But for me that single soaring specimen was a thrill - have never seen one here before that. I noticed that Donna who posts from Denver has seen eagles and a nest (I think) but I have wondered where exactly she observes them. I live in the city and a young sharp-shinned hawk is the most exotic bird I have spotted in my own yard.

Thanks again to you and all those who provide such wonderful visual content on the Forum Thank You

wave[bHi daleef........Sadly, Doug Carrick, who provided us with the Hornby cam since 2003, reitred from all that hard work. So unless someone else steps in and sets up a cam at that nest, all we will have this year are pcitures and videos posted here on the forum by those who live in the area. I am, along with many others are going to miss that wonderful pair of gorgeous eagles. Cry][/b]

7:50 a.m.
A flock of geese can be heard flying by -- sight unseen.
No eagles seen or heard.
It looks a bit foggy this morning. Rain is forecast for the afternoon and evening.

(4 21 pm) Pa lands in nest

wave Scott,
This is the first chance I have had to get to this thread, but will be here more in the future.

Thanks for the rundown on the nest activity and Lori, great video of the whole thing! They are such fun
to watch. Pa certainly asserted his authority, didn't he.
