9:10 - chick cna easily be seen checking out the world from under it's mother's breast.

9:17 The leaves are cooperating well and we've had a good long look. I haven't had time lately to stop and really see what's going on but I did catch the little feller trying to climb out of the nest. That, and today's view have really shown the changes in it. It no l onger looks like a little fluffball with goggles. It's body is lengthening and so is it's face.

What a great privilege it is to be able to watch all of this!!!!

The eaglet appears to be alone in the nest (though I suspect one of the adults isn't far), and is sleeping in the nestbowl.

Still alone. She was up looking around for a while, and now is back to sleep facing the other direction. The breeze is letting us have a nice look at her as she naps. love

12:29 The chick seems to be left "alone" for a very long time. It must be warm enough and/or she must have built up enough resources to not need her mother.

12:39 Feeding time. I just realized I don't see the shirt anymore. I wonder if it was removed or buried.
