We can see between the tree trunks now!
but still close!!

the cam positon hasn't changed since I got here around 2:15PM Pat, but the wind has been quite gusty and is effecting the view as it blows the tree..

Thank you, Terry - I will let them off, then Grin

4:10PM
the wind is creating a very intersting 'special effect' view of the nest!

someone = me

I figured much better to see what is happening than to just see a bunch of leaves flowing by Smile

There is some bouncing up and down of the camera (if the tower it is on moves I'll be very surprised - heavy steal box-beam construction) - as you can see by watching the feeding-station pole in the background on the left. The camera is on the end of an arm (sticking out South to get around the branch in the middle of the image as much as it can) on a vertical pole on the roof of the "sand" tower to the East of the nest tree.

The forecast for this evening is 70-80km gusts, heavy rain and lightning. The power here in Pitt Meadows has started to flicker (40km East of the nest)

I may back the camera out a bit more as the wider the view the less the motion impacts the image - viewers may decide - let me know here in the next little while.

Thanks Richard!

I can never figure out why anyone would think watching an eagle nest is boring... If it's not one thing it's another!

No power blips here in Coquitlam so far...

Video: New Camera at Lafarge Eagle Nest

This is a very high-quality camera! One can see the eagle's pupils. I'm glad it is the camera that is "bouncing" rather than the nest. :blink:

NB: The video is a little jerky because my recorder had a problem. It's not the cam.
