I went by the Lochside Dr. nest yesterday on my way home from Pat Bay. Mom was in the nest and you can barely see a bit of her white tail feathers on the left side of the nest. Dad was down the road in his perch tree. He is looking towards the nest in the 2nd pic and out towards Sidney Harbour in the 3rd pic. Click them bigger.

I spotted one of the eagles perched on the usual tree by the water near the corner of Lochside Dr. and McTavish Rd. yesterday on my way out to Pat Bay. I couldn't get a pic of it because McTavish Rd. is closed between Lochside Dr. and the Pat Bay Hwy.

I went by the Lochside Dr. nest today and one of the eagles (I think it was Mom) was in the nest. In the first pic it looks like she was feeding a chick or poking around in the nest. She sat at the side of the nest for 10 minutes before I left. I didn't see Dad anywhere around the nest but as we drove away from the nest property, Dad flew over the road and towards the tall perch tree down the road, which is in the opposite direction from where we were heading. When we drove by the nest later at approx. 3 pm on our way back to Victoria, one of the eagles was perched in the tree down by the water but we didn't stop to get any more pix. Click pix 2X bigger.

I went by the South Airport nest Thurs. afternoon and couldn't even see the nestRoll eyes I haven't seen the eagles in the area for quite awhile. However, I did spot these 2 eagles perched in a tree near the airport parking lot, next to the cow pasture. I think they are probably the S. Airport pair. Click 2X bigger.

I made a brief visit to the Lochside Dr. nest this afternoon. Just as I got out of the car one of the adults flew from the perch tree down by the ocean, circled the nest tree and landed in another tree nearby. It happened so quickly I only got 1 pic of one wing as it was landing. I took several pics of the nest but didn't see any movementSad If there are chicks in the nest they were flatletsRoll eyes Here are 2 pics of the adult in the tree and a pic of the nest. waveThanks Marg. Brian is going out to Brentwood Bay shortly to check on the kids' house and is going to drop me off at the Brentwood nest. I'm hoping to see some action in the nest and because the sun isn't shining on the nest I might be lucky and get some decent picsWink
