Kay, how to be in the right place at the right time! Wonderful pics of the moment. Too bad everyone didn't just back off a distance to see if the eagles would go after the gull again.

Doug, thanks for your compliments It was quite enjoyable talking to all the people who were watching the eagles. I wish I had arrived 5 minutes earlier to see the eagle grab the seagull I don't know what happened to its head Oh well, there have been dozens of missed opportunities and, no doubt, there will be many more I love the expressions on the male's face in the last 2 pics; I can imagine what he must have been thinking

I am just out and about with Santa tonight posting reminders that the deadline to order our beautiful HWF 2011 Eagle Calendar is fast approaching ...November 12 and I also wanted to personally drop in and congratulate Harry Johnson for his beautiful contribution !

Harry is one of our key contributor"s to our HWF 2011 Eagle Calendar and it seemed fitting to recognize and thank Harry here since his picture is of the Beacon Hill couple mating . Harry's beautiful picture is featured in the month of Februay in our calendar !!

Harry I only saw a sneek peek of your photo and it looks amazing as always so I cannot wait to see your picture in beautiful print when the calendar is released in a couple of weeks so much for your contribution!

Hi Kay: Any damage to your windshield? I bet you were glad you were parked, out of your car and not driving when the gull hit. What did Brian have to say? Also enjoyed the photos of your eagle atop the totem pole. Is this the same pole in which you took a photo, I believe last year, where the eagle was atop the pole and the moon was visible?

Ed, Brian had a good look at the car and there was blood and small feathers on the headlight and bumper as well. No damage done and it's all washed off now And yes, I'm certainly glad it didn't happen when I was driving

Yes, that's the same totem pole the eagles have been perching on for years. Seeing it up close, it certainly could use a bit of tender loving care
