Kay,

Forgot to mention that I was in BHP a few weeks ago and I found your photo. Nice work Very Happy

On another note, the BHP eagles are back. Spotted yesterday (Oct. 5) on the light standards...I've got some pictures that I may get around to posting. In the mean time, you can go check last year's light standard photos. They look just like that. Tongue

My husband reported seeing an eagle atop the BHP totem pole on Tuesday, Oct 12. I couldn't report this because our internet was down. No sightings since then.

I went to Beacon Hill Park yesterday afternoon and I saw both of the resident eaglesNodding I had been wandering around the park for over an hour and was walking back to my car when I noticed a bunch of people standing around the area near my car and pointing to a nearby tree. All of a sudden an eagle flew from the tree right over top of me and landed in the tree right beside me; it was the male. All of the people who were watching the eagle started talking about what had just happened. The eagle swooped down and grabbed a small gull but couldn't lift it up to the tree and dropped it. It landed on the windshield of my car and bounced onto the grass. It had no headOh My The female eagle was perched in a nearby tree and eventually the male joined her. She flew off about 15 minutes later and landed in another tree across the park while he sat there on a low branch eyeing the gull and all the people who were standing there watching him and taking picturesRoll eyes The people were all waiting for the eagle to swoop down again to pick up the gull but the eagles weren't going to come and get it while all the people were still there. Eventually both eagles flew off towards the totem pole, and when I drove by on my way home a few minutes later, one of them was perched on topLeft thumb up These pics are of the male in the tree beside where I was standing.
