Very nice attempt at a difficult spot. I knew you couldn't wait. Grin Don't see any of Oak Bay yet. I took some pix of the Firehalls last week but haven't posted them.

I spent a few hours at Beacon Hill Park today. Mom eagle was perched at the top of the tree next to the nest tree and I saw an eaglet flapping its wings in the nestClapping I walked around the park several times hoping to get at least 1 pic of the eaglet. My patience finally paid off and I managed to get a few pics. I haven't uploaded them yet; I took so many pics today I exhausted my battery powerRoll eyes I'll post some pics later.

2 pics of the adult (I think it's Mom) perched atop the tree next to the nest tree, and a pic of the eaglet in the nest, visible on the right side. These pics were taken from beside the sundial garden. Click bigger.

I visited the park this morning and saw the eaglet and an adult in the nest. Lucky for me the eaglet was very active; standing up, calling to its parent, and wingersizing. I found a great vantage point for the morning sun. Click bigger.

Wingercizing is finished, and the eaglet had a short rest before moving to the back side of the nest. Click bigger.

I was at the park late afternoon yesterday and saw an adult in the nest with the eaglet. When I went by the nest later the adult was perched in the nest tree and the crows were harassing it. A crow flew right at the eagle and then sat on the branch above it cawing at it. Click bigger.
