It's that time of year again to start submitting or gathering images for the 2013 Hancock Wildlife Foundation Calendar.

So, here we go!

CALENDAR NEEDS AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Date for submitting the images: Submissions as soon as possible; but last minute items for possibly the late June or July fledging shots would be accepted up to the last minute. NOW is when we want to make the basic selections of your best shots. Please submit them as soon as possible.

Images Needed:

Screen Captures from the HWF cams only for the smaller blocks.

Photographs of any eagles taken by our Content Providers - they do not have to be of the HWF cam eagle families.
So if you have a nest in your area, and have a favorite shot, send it on in.

The judges selection will be final. We will hopefully cover all our cams and our Content Providers favored sites to depict the eagles life history.

Image Specifications:

The 13 large monthly images must be high resolution shots. Generally 300dpi at 8x10 or higher, which would be around a 40mg image uncompressed.
We may have to crop in - so the bigger, the better.
If you're unsure of how your camera works, then please just set it to take the biggest possible image setting. Bring extra camera cards with you as these large res shots will take up a lot more space.

The hundreds of little images throughout the 'blank daily slots in each month' can be lower resolution or screen shots from HWF cams ONLY.

The Non-exclusive-World Copyright is needed by HWF:

Images to be sent only on the understanding that the Hancock Wildlife Foundation may use them in the calendar and promotions free of charge. We will give the photographers credits but not payment for their use. The 13 key shots will also earn the photographer a free calendar.

Here is a link to 3 screen Captures of the Lafarge chicks being fed. If hatching dates are accurate (Ap.19 & Ap. 21) they are less than 1 week old.

It had been raining for about 24 hours when Judy got the s'caps.

Thank you Nancy for taking this on again! I so adore the memories my calendar provides.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

I just learned that we're having some issues with the Hancock Wildlife email accounts. Karen and David have notified Ken, so hopefully it will be resolved soon.

We need 1,000 calendars pre-orders or else there won't be a calendar this year.

Please see: forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=366771

for all the information on how to pre-order.

Thank you!
