I think that is Volendam and it is a smaller cruise ship than the Island Princess. They start at the same pier in Seattle and end up in a lot of the same places but have to take their proper berth so although the Island Princess is winning right now, they probably will have to back off and park off shore some places that Volendam can go right in sashaying up to the dock. Unfair, huh?

Nightowl, I think you are indeed incredibly brilliant and so much fun!

AHA! I think I know where Pa is spending the night...in the Foster's Fir!



OK, maybe not ALL night, but he seems to be starting there.

The Volendam (12 knots) should be coming into view soon...providing the Island Princess (14 knots) doesn't mow it over.

No reason, just thought the sky was neat looking...and right before it went to night vision.

Hornby Weather

As I sit here chuckling Nightowl and wondering why exactly did Pa spend the night (Funny this is all new information for us to gather), I can imagine Nightowl waving to the folks on the cruise ships as they go by. I know what you meant about the sun - it radiated like what it is instead of seeming big round and not to be looked at.

On the HEGPS site the eaglet seems to be referred to as Hali. I thought Doug called her Elizabeth and here she is always referred to as Elizabeth. Am I being thick or something??
