if you have the cam up NO NOT resfresh the page, I lost mine and can't get it back up

2:57 I have it back whewwww I'd miss my cuties, no change on the nest

3:12 BR was brooding then got up and left showing a pile of resting white sweetness

more on our escapee today...while Cornell is saying it was chick #1 I believe they've made an assumption and incorrectly. As we learned on at least two other nests it's not age that dictates milestones it's motivation. The youngest Sidney and the youngest NCTC were both the first to self-feed showing it's not about age. We cant use size either because if #1 is male and #2 is female, #2 will be the biggest in short order. Back when it was easier to tell them apart I noted that #2 was a slightly more brownish color and had white on the back of his head. That is who escaped as I showed in my earlier scap of him. I'm sticking with my notes here and they can stick with theirs there Titter

3:18 EZ in with what looks like a grey squirrel and starts feeding 6 awwwww the baby has climbed up and is sitting on the squirrel. Winds are very strong

3:27 at this point I'm not really thinking is feeding 6 as he's eating more than they are and the only one getting bites is the one near is beak. The little guy and the other are outta luck so far

3:29 BR came roaring in with another chipmunk. EZ exited the nest pretty quick. Now this will be feeding 6 for sure!

3:33 BR has her back to us and is feeding, still not sure if she brought in prey or not till she moves, tweet says she brought rabbit but has (ex) in front of it whatever that means

3:36 appears to be digging so maybe feed is over

short and violent, typical off the lake

these are from when EZ left and afterwards

4:26 BR brooding chicks, there's more prey than bird on the nest I think. She's brooding 3 chicks, a rabbit, part of a squirrel and the bottom half of a chipmunk Laugh

feeding 7 is starting, the bottom half of the chipmunk

Pris!! hug thanks GF

Alex is doing a superb job right now, I have a million scaps Laugh I wish they'd keep the feed moving though, no idea how long feeding was

got some great ones of EZ and now BR just landed and is screaming at him to leave which he did but it was great seeing him!

5:15 chicks were alone when I got back

5:17 EZ came in no eating or feeding and Alex showed his feet, what I don't know is if when EZ came in he landed on a chipmunk or had another one. (ETA he had another one! can see it now)

and a nice close up of our handsome guy

5:21 BR came in EZ left

5:27 BR standing and preening with back to us Alex still working the cam. BR looks like she's leaning on the wall, it looks funny but I'm sure it's an illusion

5:33 I believe feeding 8 is happening once again she has her back to us but it looks like ripping and tearing motions when the wind isn't blowing her over! Dont get why she's not moving it so her back is to the wall.

5:38 she's still doing the tight-rope feed, ripping and regaining her footing

there she turned a bit

5:44 I seen at least two nice crops when the winds just right, I'm sure they've all had plenty. Fresh rabbit innards are on their plate, lots of fluids for them

5:46 lovely! now she can stand and for my thinking that's baby on the right, #2 on the left (white mark on back of head) and #1 laying across the front of them

5:50 feed is over, BR moves in to brood

6:16 BR left the nest

6:39 she came back

out for meds, ice and rest Out

these were...

6:16 to 6:23 when chicks were alone, middle one I caught a poo shot Laugh

7:10 she's brooded the whole time since coming back, chicks peeping now and then not insistently enough to get her up. They are getting louder though so I suspect feeding 9 will start soon

7:24 feeding 9 has begun

7:37 she moved a stick and is digging now, feeding is over
