Well, I went to Saxe Point and the eagles were at home - both of them. I was there for about 1/2 hour and neither of them was on the nest in that time. They were sitting in different trees. To me, that would indicate that either there are no eggs/chicks or they have hatched and there is no need for them to sit on the nest for extended periods of time.

First one a little blurry!! Taken from the rock across from the little bay - I don't know the difference between MA & PA

The tide was way out in the little bay - again my shaky hand did not do such a hot job!

I went to Saxe Pt. Park this morning (after doctor's appt.) and it was a repeat of the last time I was thereRoll eyes I saw only 1 eagle and it was flying back and forth from the nest tree to the trees inside the park, just to get away from the crowsMad It didn't work; the crows followed it. I met an previous neighbour of mine who used to live in the corner house at the entrance to the park on Munro St. We chatted for quite awhile and then a fellow who has done some camera work for David Hancock came by with his wife (and his camera in hand) and I chatted with them for quite awhile. There was another fellow there with his tripod and camera and we were all practically standing on our heads trying to get pictures. When I went down to the beach the eagle would fly to the trees in the park; when I went up to the rock bluff it would fly back to the nest tree. This went on for over an hour:blink: There was no sign of the other eagle or any activity in the nestSad I think at this time of the season it is safe to say they don't have any chicks in the nest, unless they hatched much later than the Sidney chick. I finally had to leave as I lost track of time and had a lunch date at noonRoll eyes I haven't uploaded my pics yet but will post some later:nod:

Here are some pics of the Saxe Pt. eagle that I photographed yesterday. I think this is Dad and he was being hassled by the crows the entire time I was there. The 1st pic was taken from the end of the side street across the bay from the nest; the 2nd pic he is perched on the same branch and I took it from the path leading up to the rock bluff; the 3rd pic he is on the same branch and I took it from the rocks beside the beach.
