Like you, Kay, I learned a long time ago to take all reports by passersby and neighbours etc with a grain of salt. It looks like there are no eaglets which is what we thought originally. If there were 3 eaglets it would seem likely you would have seen them. Time will tell though.

I have checked my pics very closely and do not see any signs of anything in the nest. Neither one of the adults has a brood patch.
