Kay, maybe you can tell if it is MA or PA. It never left as long as we were there - plenty of crow harassment. Makes me wonder if there is an eaglet in the nest after all because he/she was perched directly over the nest.

HelloKaren, you have been lucky to see an eagle the last few times you have been at the park. Great pics. I guess I'll just have to camp out for awhile if I hope to see themRoll eyes It looks like Mom in your pics and she looks very well fed.

Karen, both my son and his Dad are members of the Esquimalt Anglers and they told me they see at least one of the eagles perched in the trees at Fleming Beach every morning. They watched the eagle catch a seagull the other day and it flew to a tree and started eating it.

I was at Saxe Point yesterday afternoon between 4:30 & 5 and was richly rewarded! The crows were having a field day harassing the eagle. It finally gave up and flew over Esquimalt harbour, the crows in hot pursuit. It met it's mate and then came back to it's perch over the nest.
