It was a lovely sunny day and I met Karen at Saxe Pt. Park this morning. She had been there for awhile before I arrived and had seen one of the eagles in the nest treeVery Happy Unfortunately for me, it flew off (when Karen wasn't looking) just before I arrived, and I didn't see either eaglesigh sign We saw a heron on the kelp bed fishing, a belted Kingfisher flying back and forth from the trees over the beach to the rocks on the other side, and cormorants fishing. I'm sure Karen will post her eagle pics and I'll check back later. Thanks for the great company KarenLeft thumb up

Grin I got to Saxe Point about 1/2 hour before our agreed time because I got a ride.

The pictures below were taken from just above the little beach. The last picture of the eagle was taken at 10:26 when I decided to go up and meet Kay at the agreed upon place at 10:30. Wouldn't you know it, the eagle flew off without my noticing it just before Kay arrived sigh sign

I haven't uploaded my pics of the kingfisher, heron and cormorant yet as my computer was out of commission from 3 pm yesterday. I will post some on the wildlife thread here: Southern Vancouver Island Wildlife - Other Than Eagles
