wavecapo and Larry, fantastic pics of the Saxe Pt. eagletLeft thumb up I lived just around the corner from the park entrance for 18 years and my 3 sons and 2 dogs grew up in the park. There weren't any eagles there at the timeSad There were no eaglets in the nest last year and only 1 the year before. It was fun to sit on top of the rock bluff after the eaglet had fledged and watch it fly from tree to tree and crash land in the nestRoll eyes

I went to Saxe Pt. Park last evening and Dad was perched on a branch beside the nest with his wings spread; I'm sure he was cooling offRoll eyes Eaglet was up and down and wingersizing in the nest. Dad jumped into the nest for a few minutes and then jumped back onto his branch. I have lots of pics to post but I was out all morning bird/eagle watching. I'll post some laterLeft thumb up

Capo and Larry and SassyK - I think we should have known at Screech Hollow that this is a special place as our friend Karen loves Saxe Point. Karen is on vacation and will be thrilled to see all your pictures when she comes back.

The clarity of those photos from all y'all is just exceptional. This is going to be one of my favorite places, I can see!
Joy and thanks to all y'all!

waveCarolyn, yes I told Karen I'd try to get to Saxe Pt. Park as much as possible, knowing there is an eaglet in the nest this year. I didn't expect to see such beautiful photos being posted by Larry and capoLeft thumb up It certainly makes a big difference when you have the equipmentWink
