wave I'm back after having been in Ottawa & Kingston Ontario for my 50th nursing reunion for a week.

Kay ~ great observation re: feathers on MA's neck and hurrah to you for spotting the eaglet! I was convinced there must be eaglets in the nest before I went away. How did you manage to spot eagles in the middle of the night (date above your post Rolling on floor laughing )? I assume you posted after midnight but actually saw the birds yesterday - look forward to seeing your pictures Nodding

waveKaren, 50th nursing reunionOh My Is it 50 years since you got your nursing degree:question: WowLeft thumb up I hope you had a lot of fun with your fellow classmatesLeft thumb up

I was up late last night trying to get some pics prepared for posting but my computer was slower than molasses so I gave up. I have edited my post above and put in the actual days I was at the park. Here are a few pics from my Mon. afternoon visit. They were all taken from the end of Constance Ave., which is just across the bay from the nest tree. The 2nd pic is the one that made me think there was something else in the nest behind the adult; it looks like a little beak to meLeft thumb up You can see the adult's white tail feathers on the right side of the nest between the nest twigs in the 3rd pic.

Here are a few pics of the eaglet in the Saxe Pt. nest, taken yesterday morning from the end of the side street, across the bay from the nest tree. Looks like it has a full cropLeft thumb up

waveKaren & elle, I guess the eaglet has been a flatlet every time we have all been thereRoll eyes We'll just have to continue to watch as the eaglet grows and starts to exercise its wings. In one of my pics I thought I could see something dark behind the eaglet but it could have been a twig at the back of the nest. I'll have another close look tomorrow and I'll also post pics of the adults.

Here's a few more pics of the Saxe Pt. Park eagles. The 1st pic was taken from the end of the side street and has been cropped a lot. I believe it is the Dad in the 2nd pic, which I took from the end of the path going down to the beach. I believe it is the Mom in the 3rd pic, which I took from the path beside the beach. She was watching the dogs romping in the water below. Click 2X bigger.

Here are a few pics of the Saxe Pt. Dad, flying over the bay with his catch, and he landed in a tree 10 ft. from where I was standing. I didn't see what it was he had in his talons. Click 2X bigger.
