Oh Diane I am loving the pics of the hawks. They are so fluffy. Seeing all of them on one branch is just captivating.
Jean I do know how lucky I am to have the grandkids so close. I also feel very priviledged to be able to watch them so often. I so wish I had lived closer to my parents. My mom came to visit and we always hated to see her go. But with jobs etc families just can't always be in the same area.
I am a bit nervous about Dunrovin changing over to the Cornell system. Things are running so smoothly and it is hatch time. We are also losing facebook I guess. I am loving the osprey at Boulder Co fairgrounds. That dad is so attentive and he is a great fisherosprey. Hope you are not getting too much rain in your area.
There are so many brancing e's right now it is hard to keep up.
Then the E4K parents brought in all the raccoons and it just seems to go on and on.
Tomorrow they open the gates for the older chick in the hack tower.
I have been working in the garden and checking in with friends. Seems I have very little time to get everything squeezed in.
Barb travel safely as you come home.
Bev you are brave to extend to the red tailed hawks. I just do not have time. Glad the boys are doing so well.
Good night all. SED

The bright yellow flowers were really a treat Thanks for the mood brightener!!
Looking a little foggy at White Rock tonight...I can only see the wide angle camera...the close up camera is not working again tonight...it just keeps saying 'waiting for the buffer to fill' but never gets around to starting up. There is a parent on the nest but can't tell if its mom or dad from the distance.
I guess I missed the naming of the eaglets....which one is Stuffy...why isn't he being fed...and what is the other's name?
Heading off to sleep...will try to check in a little earlier tomorrow

Cecelia.......The eaglets on WR are Echo and Foxy, named by landowner who supplied the cam.
Stuffy is the stuffed chipmunk's affectionate name.
Sorry for the confusion!

Hello everyone!! Still in Canada and now back at Sharon's (Gemini).
After 4 days in Vancouver and the lovely lunch with the HWF MembersI went to the Island for 4 days and then back to Sharon's where We had a 6 day trip to Calgary by car - up through the Osoyos area and on to Trail, B.C. where I was able to meet with some school chums and my nephew and my late sisters' husband. We had a wonderful gathering at the Spghetti Foundary and a great meal too!!! one night there and then off to Cranbrook to meet with (jkr) from the forum and had a wondful visit and lunch with her. From there on to calgary. it was a long drive but very scenic and pleasant.
Met with my two grand-neices there (aged 23 and 22) and had some good catch up time. One of them is a Manager at the Westin hotel and the other one is working as a graphic design artist for an Awards company. Interesting to her all their stories and good to touch base again.
The morning we were leaving Calgary we went to Denny's for breakfast and then on to get some gas for the long trip. When we were at the gas station I realized I had left my wallet at Denny's. It took us an hour and a half to find our way back to Denny's. One kind lady finally said to follow her and she took us right to the restaurant. There are some kind people out there still. But of course it was not there. So we drove back to the hotel, where I could regroup my thinking and the hotel clerk phoned the police for me and I filed a report and then immediately cancelled all the cards that could be compromised. I was pretty upset for the rest of that day. Fortuntely, Sharon loaned me some money which made me feel better to be able to pay my own way. We drove to Salmon Arm where we spent the night and had a visit with another old school chum. It has been really great to stay in touch with all these school friends.
Drove on to Vancouver the next day and upon arriving home, there was a message on Sharon's answering machine that a gentleman (his young daughter actually) had found my wallet in a McDonalds parking lot across town from where it was taken. ALL my ID and credit cards were still there, the money was gone, which we expected (it was just over $900.00). My grand niece has picked up the wallet and has sent it by overnight express mail and it should be here today at Sharon's, and as i leave tomorrow night for Grand Cayman again, I will be releaved to get it in hand.
This was a terrible experience, one I will avoid in the future. I always thought that because I kept my wallet on my person, if someone stole my purse, I would still have my wallet. Well, guess it did not work, because Iayed it down while in the washroom. It was a terrible feeling to be stripped of all identity. Thank goodness my passport and some mail with ID on it was in my purse. The bank in Vancouver, immediately cancelled the card and re-issued me a new debit card so that helped. People have been very kind.
Otherwise it was a wonderful trip and so many of Sharon's family welcomed me to their banquets, etc.. We had some great laughs, too much good food and oh the deserts!!!!!! So back to the excercise routine next week. I was not impressed with the high cliffs and all the sharp long, dangerous bends in the high mountain roads. And oh my, the speed limits!!!!! I could never drive at those high speeds. Sharon was very patient with me putting up with all my oHHH and AHHH's as we rounder the cornings and the high climbs that nearly burst my ears!!!! We hit sleet and hail on the top of Nancy Green Summit which is the road going into Rossland B.C. where Nancy Green (Olympic skier) is from. Then again on the top of the Salmo-Creston cutoff going to Cranbrook. Very, very pretty, but don't like the temperatures that go along wth it. I even took pictures of the outside temperature guages in Sharon's car, someof which were only 2 C and then through Calgary where it was up to 72 and 74 F on somedays. It was good and I thanked God many days for car heaters and air-conditioners..
Will wind up a few details today, like finding a suitcase big enough to carry what i bought. I will leave all the Jeans and heavy Canadian clothes in Sharon's locker until my return in October. It has been a wonderful visit and Sharon and I have had some great days. Will post pictures when I get home. Also spend a wonderful afternoon at David Hancocks beautiful home with all his ducks, cranes and geese (and this is ony some of what he has). it was a wonderfu day and Mary made us a great lunch after which we walked around the farm followed by 3 - 3 week old baby cranes who respond to the term "come" an immediately obey. What beautiful babies!!!!

Hi All!
Vicki, I am so glad you got your wallet back! Thank goodness for small blessings. Your trip, other than that was spectacular. I am happy for you.
Jean, my pleasure to keep helping at Hellgate. I apologize but things are beginning to get busy for me in early June so might not be so consistent, but will do what I can when I can. The middle of June I won't even be on the Forum for over a week so hopefully you will have lots of other help.
Hugs friends.....Bev, I too loved the yellow flowers....my grandson wants me to play with him so sayonara.....
