Good Morning and Happy Sunday!
Bev, we saw that when we were in Nova Scotia last time (2006). We got out of the car and photographed the churches - but we missed Lunenberg and the town of Mahone Bay itself as were planning on a hike a needed to get there to Keji Seaside Adjunct Park. It was wonderful!
Can't wait....really can as as am so busy, but am thrilled to be coming back and going North to Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
smiles to everyone,
carolyn

Good Morning
I sat out front hoping to get a picture of the fox, but it did not come. Must have been away for the weekend. I did get some gardening done while I waited and got tired of sitting out there. We had storms last night with lots of lightning and rain so I did NOT get to see Super Moon last night.
Yesterday was 81* and today we will be lucky to get to 60. At least we did not get snow or freezing temps. My roses are beginning to bloom and they usually do NOT do that until mid JUne. Most unusual.
I watched the Kentucky Derby with the chat from E4Kids. I'll Have Another was a surprise and ran quite a race. I was glad that the owner of Bodemeister was positive about his race. I still love horses. Not always so excited about how race horses are treated.
I will be in and out today as it is cool and the morning is sunny.
Have a great day.

Good Evening...Late
Dennis had Sat. off work so we were very busy. Out the door at 7:30 on Sat. A.m. got home at 1 :00 then went out and did all kinds of outdoor work. He got onthe roof and wahsed out the gutters... so many 'whirlie birds' from all the oaks we have here. It was windy Friday and it looked like it was snowing from them all falling. We just went from on project to another all day and the same for today. He has been working 12 hrs, a day and most Saturday for over 1 yrs now. Hard to get things done. But thank God he has a good job. He will not give up 1 hour of overtime.
Donna...the Lilacs are pretty. How are R1 and R2 doing? I smiled when you said you thought of me and my fur kids when you were playing with Kennedy. We watched the Derby also and Dennis get aggraviated with me when I talk about the ... poor horses. I know they take very good care of them but I hate to see them run like that. Even if itis just a short time.
Bev... how wonderful your visit was with Kay. That was a great photo you took out of A's window of the ship. Very impressive! I think I saw Kay there on deck waving as she went by! Hope you are well.
Jean... glad you are having a good trip. Also that you have another week to go. I agree this week went by fast too. Enjoy your time!
Barbara...We all get out of the loop from time to time... don't worry. and yes... I will say a prayer for Merrit. LIfe can be so hard at times. How are the 'girls' doing? And you! how are you?
Sara...I hope things have calmed down some for you. Have you been getting rain again?
Carolyn...yes the trip to St. Augustine was great and we will go again when I go to FL.. a place that has lots to see and 1-2 days wasn't enough.
Cherie... the owl photo is great. and how wonderful that a Wood duck has taken over the.. Wood box. We still have the 2 pairs of Mallards and 2 pair of Wood ducks out back. I can't get too close for they swin off to the other side. I did get a few pics and I got some of the hawk in the nest. They have at least 2 babies now and I can see their white color heads pop up when they are eating. I will post what photos of them I have soon.
Cecilia... Graduation Soon???? MIss you here.............
Have a good evening Screechers....

Thanks Sara for the update on Harmon. I saw the video removing him. Looks like the family is happily back together.
Bev - That's quite a view Agnes has out her front window. You and Kay certainly come from opposite ends of the country. Nice you were able to meet each other.
Jean - You must reeeeelly be having a good time.
Have a good day tomorrow all..............Cherie

Today was a long day both happy and so sad. The Minn eagle family is reunited and all is good. Today we had to put Skye to sleep. She was doing so well last week but over the weekend she was not good. The vet was not optimistic and had found several serious things were going on. We have so many happy memories of this sweet extremely gentle dog. I have entered her in the Rainbow Bridge area.
The kids took it really well, but I am afraid the adults shed many tears.
I saw the fox today right in my yard and the cam was in the car so I wouldn't miss a snap when I saw her again. Will have to keep the cam in my pocket.
Dalaney was told to go home and not come back after lunch by her co workers. So I came home early. Watched the Minn nest cam and did little things here.
We have had rain all night and all day and temps in the 40's. What a change. We needed the rain so it could rain tomorrow and I would smile.
Good night.....

I just don't know what else to say. Just be happy that Skye was a part of your lives. Much love to you

Good Morning Friends!
Donna I am so sorry to hear about Skye. :cry1:
I have been reading the posts whenever time allows, but I just don't have much time to post. Don and I are having a great time here in Madeira Beach! The weather has been great!
We have done a lot of eagle searching, visited the Dunedin nest, walked the beach, visited the SeaBird Sanctuary, ate at many fun resturants, and still have lots planned before it's time to head home.
Today we are heading to Fort DeSoto after breakfast and walking the beach there. I will definitely watch for the owls, Cherie! This evening we are meeting Todd's girlfriend for dinner as this is her free day. She leaves back for MI on Friday.
Thanks to Bev and Carolyn for keeping my threads going for me. You both are doing a great job and it's much appreciated. Thank you Donna for stopping in at, I think it was the Ozarks. forgive me if I'm wrong but my memory is on vacation too!
Have to grab breakfast and get ready to leave. Wish I had time to mention everyone, but know I am thinking of all of you!
