Happy Birthday to Mr. C Donna! We wish him a wondrous 4th birthday......have a blast.

Barbara, we went to Dafuskie Island in in-laws boat back when they lived in S.Carolina in Bluffton. They have been gone many years but we did a bunch of boat trips that were fun. Then Dafuskie was undeveloped and I cannot imagine what it looks like now. it was just a little rural island.

I am so glad you went out after the concert with friends and then got to do such fun things. I was curious about one thing - does Mike alert your church he will be in town and they set him up as musical director for that day? What talent you have in your family. I was very impressed when you told me how your entire family ran church services in Florida - outstanding!

Any sightings of male ospreys yet, Jean? I hope the mate turns up or she finds a new one.

Kids had me running in circles today, so am grounding myself now. Stomach is still upset, but slowly getting better. Every time I eat I decide I should not have. We've had gorgeous weather here - cooler and swimming was glorious as pool was 72 degrees, cool and clear. (Yes, I know that is cold, but it feels great).

Bleu is exhausted as Mr. E wanted to watch her leap for 40 minutes. She finally called the game. I am going to git now......

Good Morning

It is going to be in the mid 80's today. I don't like it so hot so I am not jumping up and down.

We had a fun time with C for his birthday dinner. He of course, was very excited. We went to a park to play after dinner. I had been gardening and off walking during the day so I did more sitting than playing...lol.

Lettuce and spinach are ready to be picked.

Not much news here, but life is busy. Have a great day everyone.

Helloooooo....

Been busy as all of you have been too. Our temps have been between 55-65 and mostly sunny for about a week now. Perfect Spring temps and not the 80's like we got a month ago. I agree Donna... 80's are too hot for me.

Here are a few more St. Augustine light house photos.

Good Evening Friends,
Well, things are looking pretty grim at the Hellgate Osprey nest. Mom continues to come to the nest daily. She makes several trips carrying in sticks, branches and bedding and placing them in just the right spot. Still no signs of Dad! I did see this message on the Ospry Facebook this evening from Heiko.

Osprey Cams reports on a missing male osprey from a nest in in Hellgate, Montana: "The male at Hellgate has been missing for about a week, and there is no sign of a successor so far. Somebody reported on a serious aerial fight between an osprey and a bald eagle that is nesting a couple miles away - perhaps 'our' osprey was involved in that?"

:cry1:

I sure hope it wasn't Dad Hellgate, but I guess we'll never know. It's possible that he met ill fate on his long journey home. I don't know how long it will take before Mom finds another mate and settles in at the nest to raise some young again. It is going to be interesting to see how this all turns out. Cry Hanky

I've been trying to relax a bit today after hosting the gals here yesterday. Don and I ran some errands , shopped downtown Aiken and had lunch at the Dickens Cafe in the Curiosity Shop, and also went to "Birds and Butterfly's to find a couple squirrel proof birdfeeders. The squirrel proof ones we had weren't! fingers crossed that the ones we bought today do the job. The past week the feed is emptying out daily as the squirrels, their families, friends and neighbors have decided we have the best food in the neighborhood. There is always at least two hanging down and cleaning out the seed. We have counted as many as 4 here at a time. Rant

I'm going to be home tomorrow so I will have time to post and comment on everyone's posts. I was supposed to host Mahjongg, but two of the gals couldn't make it. I'm kind of glad as that frees up my day for me.
Hope everyone has a good evening. Sleep well my friends! Wubhug
