Oh Bev! Cry HankySo sorry to come and learn more sad news for today. hug
Do keep us posted on Phoebe and if Pungh is able to find the little chicks alive and well. Only two weeks old does make that possibility pretty bleak though. Enough sadness and tragedies!!!! Prayers that the rest of our new season takes a turn for the better!
Hugs to all and Good Night.

Bev, so sorry about the loss of Phoebe's babiesCrysad I did see on Facebook where Pungh said that she has already started restoring another nest. Amazing how birds move on while we are still hurting.

I spotted the first magnolia bloom on my tree this morning. It's way up in the top of the tree, so can't get a great shot of it, but here it is.

Here is a shot of most of the tree. When we planted it Austin was taller than it was and he was only about 7 or 8. He is 21 now. Guess it grew faster than he did!!! I tried today to find the picture of him standning beside it, but didn't succeed at that. It was before digital camera, so will have to go through those pictures sometime and finish sorting them all out.

Terrible storms today with lots of damage. I hope everyone and all your family and friends are safe. They are saying the punch will be out of them before they get here tomorrow and Tuesday. Sure hope they have that right. We aer supposed to get heavy rain, hail and stright line winds. That can be damaging enough, but not as bad as the tornadoes.

Good night all.

Good Morning Friends!Hello

Bev, Belle and Smitty's chicks are adorable!! Great morning greeting to see, especially with all the sadness we have been dealing with.
I think we all often wonder why we put ourselves through all this, but the rewards seem to outweight the grief we have to bear as well! No-one said nature is kind to all. Until I started watching live cams, I never even gave it a thought. I just enjoyed the good I saw!

Sara your Magnolia tree is pretty. I need to look and see if either of our two are blooming. We planted two in our front yard when we moved here. We were told they are slow growing but one is about 30Ft tall! During some tree removals, one was damaged so the tree company replaced it. That one is only about 20ft tall.

Barbara I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so bad!! And of all times when Cherie was there and you had to miss the cruise! Does your doctor have any idea why you keep getting these dizzy spells and sick tummy?
Hope today is a better day for you!hug

Donna are you watching the Dunrovin Ranch Ospreys?? I hear they are doing a lot of nestorations there. Both have made it back. I thought our male had returned at the Hellgate cam, but we are thinking more and more it was an intruder and Dad still hasn't returned. Mom is really bringing in the large sticks and lots of bedding, getting ready to start their new family as soon as Dad gets back! No washcloths at our nest! Rolling on floor laughing

Carolyn did you get more rain with the storms that went through out west?? Sara is expecting theirs today and we should see rain coming in tomorrow. By the time it reaches us, the force should be gone! At least we have our fingers crossed!

Thank you Diane! The Hollow is always a great place to come when you are hurting with losses from cams we watch. All of us have been touched at some time or another.... Many with more losses than others. But the understanding, comfort and hugs is always here when we need it!

Today is a free day for me. Clapping Lately they have seemed far and few. I have a long list of things I need to get done in the next two weeks before vacation time. I am going to have to use strict discipline with myself if I want to get it all done! On to some nest reportings and then my day begins!
Hope everyone has a great day! hugWub

Good Morning

Thanks for the BIG hug Diane.

The Richmond mom went to the nest at 7:30 this morning. Dad brought in fish and the family is reunited. What a good new beginning. They probably look like the WVA chicks as they are 2 or 3 days apart in age.

Jean I have been checking in on the Dunrovin osprey and there is a cam at the Boulder Co Fairgrounds in Longmont, Colo that I have been tuning in on too. They bring in more darn "stuff"

I am off to be with the grandkids in a bit.

My hockey teams are not doing very well in this first round. Don't want to offend anyone but hope the Kings beat Vancouver as they have made such a remarkable comeback with their new coach.

I am off have a wonderful day. Sara hope your area is done with storms. And BArb hugs,

Good Afternoon.....

Someone (Jean?) asked about storms here. We had some last night and a surprise on my walk this morning - big thunderstorm, so we ran home. It's raining pretty hard now. So.....I guess the weather pattern is continuing and that is a good thing.

Doinna, I posted on Richmond but very happy about the parents coming back in. Something must have spooked them with the workers so close to the chicks. As long as they are now fine we are happy!

Sara, hope the storms pass you by.

Bev, delightful to see that screencap of W.Va with the fish headrest. I heard Phoebe is building a new nest - she just goes on. We should learn from that maybe?

Diane, hugs back to you for all those you have been dispensing. Hope you are beginning to feel better.

All y'all else, feel good, be happy and have a beautiful day, rain or no rain, snow or no snow, just smile.
