That makes me excited too Bev......Would you believe I got a second brochure today - not sure why?
Starting to clarify..........

Jean, we do not get brochures for places unless we are serious about going. And my husband totally dislikes coupons so that won't happen here either. We are not big on going out at night, but will probably want to catch music in Nova Scotia for sure - how could I not - love Celtic and Scottish music or anything folk.

I just stopped in for a second - probably won't be back on this thread for over a week, so if you want me please pm or email. Thanks!

Carolyn we don't get brouchers or catalogs sent to the house either unless we request them for a place we are going to for sure! And the Entertainment book is dinner coupons for neighboring restaurants. Buy one meal, get one free. Certainly helps save in the way of traveling costs!

wave Good morning, friends!

Just a quick plop this morning to wish you all a good day! I need to call the A/C repair man, as it isn't cooling as well as it should. It has been several years since we had to have someone out to look at it, so it probably just needs coolant. Then, it's back to work in the house to prepare for company this weekend!

Enjoy your day, everyone! Here's another picture of some of my azaleas from last week.

Hello...
Just a quick fly by...:hello:

We are close to 80 degrees today. Things are just blooming too fast. I usually go to FL this time of year to escapse the cold.. not this year!

Barbara... your flowers are so pretty. and the Bird Girl is wonderful! I love her! Hope the AC was a simple fix and not too much $$.

Donna... I have taken advantage of this nice weather and been brushing the dogs alot. In the winter I have to go in the garage to do that. Still cold out there in the winter but better than outside for sure!

Sara... Dairy Queen!!! Wooh sounds good! ours are just starting to open after being closed all winter. These people up here make all the $$ then head south for the winter! Smart people for sure!

Jean...
Dennis and I love coupons too. We don't buy those Entertainment Books but we look for coupons deals all the time. I am not ashamed to say that every week when we both go grocery shopping Dennis has the calculator and as I put each item in the cart he puts in the price of the item. We have done that for 30 yrs!!!

Bev... that is wonderful that Smitty fed the chicks himself! Good Dad! I am slightly better.. thanks for asking.

Cherie
... I love your new Avatar.. did you use the link I gave you to... shrink it?

Cecilia... how many more days????

I still want to get out before Dennis gets home and do a little raking... can't do too much with my shoulder but I get a little done when I can.
Have a great day!

Good Afternoon!
My plans for the day completely changed. Xel-Ha has been having some back issues for the past week and even though I started him on his back remedy meds, he wasn't getting any better. So a call into the vets today and he went to see Charles this morning. It's only been a month and a half since he was done with his back manipulations so Charles has decided we need to keep him on some sort of regement to prevent the flare-ups. Xel-Ha has some disc degeneration as well as the nerves get inflamed. He got two powerful shots and came home with 3 different meds he will take till things cool down with his back. Charles wants to see him back Thursday morning to make sure the meds have started showing some improvement. If not, then he'll go to Plan B.
After we got back home it was lunch time. As I was making lunch, my hairdresser called and said she was stopping by with one of the products I use that she picked up for me. Joyce lives down the street from us. I thought that was strange as I didn't order anything and still had plenty left. Well..... Joyce wanted to tell me personally that she has decided to retire effectively this Friday!Wooh What a shock! She has asthma and back problems that she keeps being treated for and her doctor finally told her she needs to quit doing hair as it's just aggravating the issues. Now I need to find a new hairdresser! sigh sign
If all that wasn't enough, I learned that one of our canasta players is quitting. We just lost one last month since her daughter came back home to live with two kids and a dog. Now another this month due to other commitments that are taking up too much of her time. I hope this is all for today!
I think after dinner Don and I will go over to the gym! We haven't gone in a week and a half due to other things going on with us. I think I need to have a good work out to rid all the stress I've had today!

We are still dealing with extreme winds at the Ozark nest. I'm glued to the cam for fear of losing a chick. If you remember one blew out or fell out of the nest last season. Certainly hope that doesn't happen again. Wish Elsie and Einstein would use the lower nest as there is more protection as well as being able to see into the nest. Of course our birds have minds of their own and choose the nest that makes us worry worts!

Better get some work done around here now. Read all the posts but will comment later!
