Davenport pip seen but eagles have not let us have a view all afternoon. I guess we will find out in the morning.
Then there will be two more to come and FSV has hatches right in the midst of all of the littles at DAvenport.

I looked in on Sooner Lake and WVa today but did not post. Things look good. Lots of food at WVa.

Diane every time I let Kennedy outside she rolls in the grass and picks up some all over her. So she gets a brush before she comes in.

Hi Ladies - I too apologize for not being here for so long. I read all the posts, but too many to address. You'all sound well, busy and content. Hatchings are popping out all over.

We are going over to the west coast (FL) w/my mom tomorrow for 5 days to visit my 2 aunts and a cousin from AZ. I have a feeling this may be the last time we ladies are all together while "up and around". My aunts' health problems just seem to be piling on. One is 78, the other almost 88 and my mom is in between at 82 in May.

Quick note on the owl nest. There was one egg left in the box which I left alone for several days. Mom didn't return so I checked the egg and it was all yoke - same for the one on the ground. I figure mom probably counted 26 days, no owelette appeared, so she said "I'm out of here" Don't know if she'll try again.

Well, I have to get packing, etc. Oh, it was our 40th anniv. on St. Patty's day. We had a nice dinner out and then went to a free concert where Neil "Zrconia" (not the real diamond) sang Neil Diamond songs. He was excellent (and I've seen the real Neil Diamond in person a few times. Love his music).

Hello freinds. It has been a fun day today. I went to Sunday School this morning, then picked Stephen up at the airport. He had been to Chicago for St Paddy's Day. Then to Red Lobster for lunch before our Corvette Club meeting. One of the members led us on a drive to Robins which is an ice cream place that used to be a Dairy Queen. It is in Childersburg about 40 miles south of town. We got there and about 25 cars parked planning to eat again. They aren't open on Sunday any more. So Babs and Billy who live in Childersburg said they would lead us on down to Sylacauga to a Dairy Queen. Can't have a Corvette day without ice cream, so another 20 miles and we were successful at getting our ice cream fix. BAbs and Billy are the couple whose house burned on Halloween a year and a half ago. They moved into their new home on the old site just after Thanksgiving. They invited us to come see it. It is beautiful. They basically lost everything in the fire, so everything is new. They are so glad to be settled in their own home with their own furniture again after living in a rental home with rented furniture for so long. I'm so pleased for them. Coming home, I tried to call my daughter to stop by and see them since I was only a couple of miles from their house, but didnt' get them. By the time she called me back, I was way past them and ready to get home. They were outside with the boys playing. It went up to 89* today here and nice and sunny. Of course everything is totally yellow with pollen from the hardwoods. UGH and achooo.

Cherie hope you have fun on the west coast. So special for them to get together while they still can.

Donna you have really been busy with the littles and helping with the move. Love the picture of Papa with them.

Barbara, bird lady looks like she enjoyed St Patrick's Day. Your yard looks good.

Jean, maybe you can slow down some now since you have the 2 bobble heads.

Bev, I guess you will miss having the boys at home when their spring vacation is over. You have also been busy with eggs and hatches.

Diane, I love that picnic table. What a good idea to fold up the seats!!

Carolyn, sounds like fun with the pictures and getting to see your son.

Still need to do a tad of work before bedtime. Since I've been playing all day, guess I need to buckle down and finish it up. Shouldn't take but a few minutes. I'll be at Briarcliff tomorrow, then bowling tomorrow night.

Good morning, friends! Hope y'all had an enjoyable weekend!

Levi and I went to church yesterday then had a nice lunch with church friends at Longhorn. They are always glad to see him and catch up. After that, we came home and I let Levi take a short nap before we got busy around the house again. We cleaned up the outside of the house (got rid of spider webs, etc), got all the plants that were wintering on the back porch moved back to the front and I watered them all (no casualties, so far!). Then Levi ran the shop vac on the back porch, so it's ready for me to dust today.Then, we relaxed for a while, ate some supper, and watched a couple of shows on TV before he headed back to school. We stayed busy this weekend, but enjoyed the time together!

Wow! So happy to hear about all the over the past few days!

Bev, guess it is quiet around your place today with the boys back in school, huh? You will still spend some time with them in the afternoons though, I guess. Hope all goes well with Belle & Smitty and their little ones!

Jean, so glad we were able to see the 2 little heads poking up over the nest edge! Yes, I know I made the smart decision NOT to go downtown this weekend! Some of the streets were already lined with people's chairs Friday night at dinnertime for the parade on Saturday, and the streets were already stuffed to the gills with parked cars!!! I saw some pictures from Saturday and it was a madhouse!

Donna, glad daughter and family are pretty much moved into their new (to them) home! Hope they will enjoy living there! Sounds like you too are busy keeping up with !

Sara, you had a busy day yesterday as well! Glad you were able to finally get your ice cream after finding the first place closed! So happy that your friends are settled and happy in their new home too! Have a good Monday!

Good Morning Friends!
It's so nice to have a free morning! I have gotten some posting and s'capes done at the Ozarks and have a little time to plop in and say hi. Then it's off to the shower to get dressed. I have a little ironing to finish up this morning and then the afternoon is mine to do whatever. I'll probably try and get some sewing done. Still working on my embroidery project since Christmas. I've had the embroidery done for quite some time, but just haven't been able to put it all together. I also need to make up a little gift for Jan. Their time is almost up in Aiken and will be heading back to Mi next week. Hard to believe they've been here 3 months!

Bev, thinking of you! Hope you had an enjoyable week with the boys and family! It really won't be long before school is out for the summer! How are things going at WVA?? Is Smitty doing a good job as a new "daddy"?

Barbara you did a fine job on the yard. Do you keep bird seed in the dishes Bird lady is holding?

Sara I hope I can find more free time. But... then again, once we have little chicks we are monitoring the feedings and their growth and all. Guess there's really no rest!

Cherie Mom Owl probably knew the eggs weren't viable so she might have thrown out the first one. Then seeing the yolk, so left knowing the other was bad as well.

Carolyn we too get all sorts of brochures on places we plan to travel to. In fact, Don already ordered and got the Entertainment book for Madeira beach that has all sorts of great coupons in it.

Donna are all the boxes unpacked now. Is their "new" home closer to you than the old one?

Better tend to my ironing now. I have the free time so I best use it to the best of my ability. I also need to take a stretch after sitting all morning at the computer!

Tweet glad you have a day off today. I'll bet Don likes it too. My daughter moved across the street from their other house. It is a nice house and a beautiful yard. Actually we did get most of the boxes unpacked or at least in the room they needed to be unpacked in. We got all the beds made, kitchen cleaned, and a load of wash in the washer.

Davenport eaglet #1 was pretty dry this early a.m. but as of 10:21 cdt it had not been fed. It was snoozin next to the other 2 eggs. They had a nasty thunderstorm at that nest before dawn this morning. Mom did well.

Cherie You are going to be on the road quite a bit. HOw nice that you can visit with your Aunts and mom.

Diane I love the picnic bench. The side going up is a great idea.

I am off to the nests and then watch the littles til late afternoon. WE are in the 50's today feels good.
