:hello: Just got home from bowling a little while ago. We have been in first place and will either stay there or be tied for it after tonight. We had a couple of bowlers as subs who have not bowled yet this year and didnt' have a handicap established. I'll figure it out tomorrow or just wait for it to be posted on the website by Wednesday.

I just saw on our news that it was 19 years ago today that we had the blizzard. We had over 2 feet of snow at our house. Yes in Alabama. It lasted for almost a week. No chance of that now. Only going down in the 60s tonight and close to or into the 80s for all of the next week at least. I haven't seen the moon since I took the picture a few nights ago, but when I left the bowling alley, it had temprarily cleared off enough to see the 2 planets that I took the picture of. I think it is clouding back up and more rain in the forecast.

Great news about Phoebe. She is just as busy as she can be. Looks like she would want some rest between clutches.

Interesting about MInnesota senate voting today to make the black bear the state mammal. This was started by a first grade class who have been watching Lily and the other bear cams. It will be voted on in the legislature in a few days.

It's late and I have a busy day tomorrow. I'll be working at home, but need to run some errands also. See you again soon.

Good Morning Friends!:hello:

Our plans for today was to go to Columbia to the State Museum and to pick up more wine supplies for Don. Since rain is in the forecast, we decided to wait till Thursday and just rest up today. Sure glad about that as my body has been aching from all the yard work we did over the weekend. A free day is certainly something I need! I'm also hosting Mahjongg here tomorrow so that will give me time to clean house and prepare food without having to rush doing all that in the evening. We just might even get to go to the gym!Clapping

Congratulations to Phoebe and Bev for the start of a new clutch. And here you thought you might get a little break, huh Bev!? Hope you are enjoying time with the family. Do the boys get an entire week off? I think the kids around here have to wait till the first week in April for their Spring break. It's always the week of the Masters Golf Tournament. Unfortunately we didn't get tickets this year.

Sara glad to hear you are in first place this season of bowling! When does it wrap up?

Carolyn has your rain cleared out yet? Right now the sun is shinning here. Wonder if the weathermen were wrong afterall?? That's alright as I really needed a stay at home day!

Donna guess you are on hatch watch too. I thought you were a week or so behind the Ozarks?? The way Elsie was tending to her eggs yesterday I thought we might have had a hatch. But... today she is still incubating and I haven't seen Einstein bringing if fish or signs of feeding going on. Today is day 35 so anytime now!

Barbara hope you got a good nights sleep last night. Are you feeling better now... have the headaches gone??

Diane are you getting ready for Florida??? How long now ? Keeping Lindsay and Ron is my prayers.

Here's another picture of my Confederate Jasmine bush. Just happened to catch a bee stealing some nectar.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning......

Sara! I saw the planets last night - while I would normally wonder "is that a star or a planet" this was crystal clear. They were so bright. I thought of you and your thoughtful idea to send me the picture and smiled. It was such a joy to see them.

Jean, rain cleared out, we are expecting more for the next few days, but not all day each day. Ponds are full, happily so. I am thrilled with the garden's appearance. So is the garden. Have fun today.

Bev, have fun with the boys.

Donna, I have been following your nests on a regular basis. Trying to keep in touch with a number of them so do not post, just view. Thank you and Bev and Jean for all the faithful reporting.

off to see nests

I just learned some sad news regarding Molly's cam that many of us used to keep watch at. McGee, Molly's Mate has been missing since March 9th. One of this clutch had hatched and another ready to hatch. Because Molly had to leave the nest to hunt for food, the little chick (DeeDee) died from lack of food and incubation from Molly. The remaining unhatched went cold and Molly is the only survivor!

Jean so sorry about Molly. It's so hard to find out what happens in nature. Glad you are having a day off to "rest", but cleaning house and fixing for a party is probably less rest than going to ColumbiaFaint Great picture of the flowers and bee.

Carolyn, glad you are having a little break from the rain. Even though we are glad to get it, when it comes day after day, it gets old. It's cloudy again here, but not raining right now. Forecase is just showing partly cloudy and near 80*, but radar is showing a tad of rain coming in. Glad it's not a lot.

I've got to run to Lowe's to get repair part for the shower in my bathroom. It started dripping, but I guess 14 years isn't too bad since it has never been replaced.

Watching White Rock on Monday at work left me a little seasick...someone said the winds were blowing at about 75 mph which sounds about right.I actually starting feeling a little seasick at work. It was the sustained nature of the wind that was so frightening...the whitecaps and waves crashing below white rock really told the story.

I finally went to Phoebe's nest for comfort and felt better...didn't know the egg was brand new Titter
Phoebe kept bringing back in soft stuff and wriggling it into place until she was satisfied...she wriggled and wiggled so much I was afraid she might break the eggs.

Everything sure looks calm at White Rock now...including the harbor and the sun is shining on Mom sitting in the nest...has she laid an egg? She crouched over the nest kinda funny yesterday before I left...I thought sure she might be going to lay an egg but then she flew off. Figured out how to put Bellingham WA into Weatherbug on my phone so now I can watch the weather there anytime I want.

The yellow jasmine are beautiful..I can almost smell the perfume and hear the buzz of the bee Grin
