Here are some more shots of our Lake Guntersville Eagles. I changed my avatar to one of them. Thanks for the instructions Carolyn and Diane. I had forgotten how to do it, but it is really easy.

Click on image to download Notice the shadow on the tree trunk of the other eagle in flight.

Click on image to download Ma And Pa on the nest feeding the babies. These were taken in February, Guess the ones from this year are getting close to fledging. I haven't had a chance to get up there to see them this year. It's about an hour and a half from my house. I don't know why none nest in Oak Mountain State park (15 minutes from my house). There is a large lake there. The only time they seem to have any is in the rehab facility and that is really very rare. Then it is only for a short stay before they go to Auburn for treatment and rehab.

Jean, I was glad to hear that Don was doing well even though I wasn't the one who had asked this time. I love your hats. They should be the hit of the party. Can't wait to see your eagle.

Donna, hope you convince hubby to fix the towel bar. It shouldn't be hard to do to replace one as long as it is the same width.

Diane, such cute bird pictures. Yesteday Austin was going out the back door and commented on how many birds were in the yard. Guess they are arriving for the spring and summer.

Bev, hope you enjoyed your walk with the boys. Glad you are having some good weather. It's very pleasant here today, but I'm noticing the pollen is really getting heavy. Ah choooo. More rain coming in soon, so maybe it will wash some of it away.

Off to church to server dinner, then to the last week of the Bible Study I signed up for. After that, I'm going to run by the Boy Scout meeting and visit with some people there.

Hope everyone has a good evening and rest of the week.

Anna that was a great video showing the eye membrane of the eagle. Love the way Mom was squawking at Pa as he flew by!Thanks for sharing it with us!

Sara nice pictures of the eagles.

Well, it looks like my eagle will spend the night in the back of my van.giggle I guess I wasn't kidding when I said I might be driving around with it for awhile. Week days are hard to see neighbors as most are still working and when they're home, they are involved with their teenager's sports.

I am shutting down for the night. I did oversleep this morning.... Didn't get up till about 8:15am!Wooh I am usually up between 7:00-7:30am, so when I looked at the clock, I couldn't believe my eyes! Tonight is Survivors so I have a few things to get done before that comes on. Not the best Survivor show this time as they have women against men and when they have their competitions, the women seem to be the losers all the time. Hopefully the teams will merge quickly and then it will even out.

Have a good evening all! sleepySleepyGood night

Sara thanks for sharing the eagle snaps. They are beautiful with that blue blue sky.

I did get a lot done today. It was pretty nippy, but no snow. Maybe tomorrow morning there will be some on the ground.

I tried a new crockpot recipe and it is wonderful veggie soup. We really liked it. Nice for such a cold day.

Norfolk eagles had a pretty vicious fight with another female today. Sure wish things were quieter around several nests this year.

Take care everyone and sweet dreams

My computer has some sort of virus or other issuesigh sign...I wanted to take it with me today...but it took hours to finish an update for Adobe (got tired of looking at the irritating reminder screens) ....and almost an hour to come back on after a shut down Bash computer I really need it to just limp along at least 58 MORE DAYSRant

Keep on keeping on everyone...i'll pop in tomorrow Sleepy

wave friends!

Guess I've been AWOL again!Don't Know Had to get some stuff done yesterday, then had a soprano sectional before our regular rehearsal again, so had to leave early for that. It was late when I got home from Chili's, so didn't post.

Never made it in here to the computer today except to check email real quick before heading out to dinner. I had a Groupon for a restaurant in Savannah called Bonna Bella - out on the river, and I needed to use it by tomorrow. So, a few of us girls from chorus decided to have a Girls' Night Out there tonight!Tongue We had a great time and the food was great! I paid for my drink, meal, and 2 desserts for us to share and only ended up paying $3.50 with my Groupon!Right thumb up They have a lovely view of the river and lots of tables outside, where we usually sit when we eat there. But, since it's still a bit chilly at night here, we went to the upstairs inside room tonight - it has huge windows on 3 sides so you can look out over the river and still be warm!Smile

Jean, hope the Sitting eagle will be warm enough in the van tonight!!!giggle You may find that he enjoys riding in the car - my bird girl sure did!!!Rolling on floor laughing The hats look great! I'm sure they will be the talk of the party. So glad to hear that Don continues to make progress!

Bev, glad you had some nice weather! Did you and the boys enjoy your walk? So glad you found just the right gift for your friend - I love finding just the right thing!Grin Great to know that both Sansa & Arya fledged successfully and that they are still flying around the garden!

Sara, I love the new avatar - I sure did enjoy meeting you there and watching my first eagles! I still remember getting to look through the guy's lens that had the HUGE camera!!!Titter Glad you were successful in changing your avatar - I, too, have forgotten how to do it!Puzzled

Diane, glad you are feeling better! Love the pictures of the birds - they are so pretty! Hope you enjoyed your day out in the yard. I need to do some picking up in our yard too, but will wait until next week when Levi comes home to mow.

Donna, so glad the BR is done! Hope Papa can get the towel bar to work or get a different one that will. I agree - one-on-one sleepovers are great, for you as well as the grandkids! Glad you had a few days of nice weather before it got cold again! I thought we would float away here with all that rain a few days ago. It's pretty nice again now, and at least the rain washed away all the pollen for now.Nodding

Carolyn, so sorry to hear about Alice's fall! So glad she was OK after a hug and some TLC!Wub You're right - I guess Cherie's owl isn't using the part of the brain that can think "outside the box"!giggle Also, I am ready for some "flip flop" weather instead of "flip flopping" weather!Titter

Cherie, thanks for the owl update! Should have owlets pretty soon, huh?Egg Hatch

Cecilia, sorry that your computer is dragging. Hope it will make it a few more weeks for you!Bash computer

Anna, thanks for sharing your video - it's always so nice to see you here!Hello

Think I will go read for a while and then it's sleepy for some Sleepy! Have a Good night, y'all!

hug

Good Morning Friends!

I thought I was late coming here, but I see I will be the first one....unless someone sneaks in before me!Whistling

My ealge was comfortable sleeping in the van last night. I didn't see your post about leaving him a fish Bev, but he found something in the freezer to tide him over till today! Rolling on floor laughing Guess he will be riding with me to get my hair done this afternoon, then run errands with me and then go over to Alice and Tim's house for dinner and to play cards. ( Won't tell him he's not invited so he will have to remain in the van! Rolling on floor laughing Alice doesn't serve fish dinners! )

Sara nice Avatar! How's bowling going?? What place is your team in??

Barbara you are keeping busy too, I see. Glad Levi will be home next weekend to help you out. Don and I still have tons of yard work to do. This past week we didn't get out due to the weather. Maybe we can be outside this weekend. Don't Know
The Groupons can really save you money! Don just got one for a chimeny sweep.

I hope you get it figured out with the towel bar, Donna. Best to be sure you like it, or else you will be regreting your decison for a long time. Funny how little things like that either make it or break it! sigh sign

Getting close to a hatch at the Ozarks! Einstein has been bringing lots of fresh bedding and today more sticks. They are making a nice cozy egg bowl and a tall crib rail! Rainy day there today!

Have a great day all! See y'all later!
