Wow last night brought back memories of living in the midwest in June. We had dark clouds roll in about 7 and to the east of us they were getting 2 inches of rain in 45 min. We got some rain. Went to bed and Papa went out to cover the plants at 10:30. At 11:45 the warning sirens were going off. We were up and tornados were in the clouds just to the south of us. Like 6 miles. We were getting rain but no hail. The storms left inches of hail over southwestern parts of Denver and places to the east. No building damage reported this morning, but lots of flooding. 6 tornados touched down east of the Denver area. No damage or injuries as they were not on the ground long in that open country.

We will have a repeat this afternoon and evening but more to the east.

I am off for the day to catch up with my daughter and watch Maddie at her riding lesson at the horse farm.

Diane your hawks have grown so fast. They did so well. How is the deck coming?

Jean the pictures make me want to go there. Thanks for taking the time to share them. Glad the battery went when it did and not while you were far from home.

Barb enjoy your time away and get that place rented.

Take care everyone and have a great day.

Good evening friends!

Donna I'm glad you are safe and didn't have to take cover last night. I hope you didn't have more of the threats today!

Today was busy for us as we had the tile restoration people in to clean and color seal the grout on our porcelain tile in the family room, kitchen and 1/2 bath. They arrived at 8:00am and were done by 12:30pm. Last night Don and I had to move all the furniture into the garage. Whew~ What a job!
We are very pleased at the way it turned out. The tile and grout looks like new flooring. Unfortunately we can't put the furniture back in till tomorrow around lunch time. They say to give the sealer 24hours to completely dry. We can walk on it but the dogs can't as their tiny paws and nails could go into the grout. They're not happy campers about that. No Mommy time with the pups tonight as we would have to carry the pups upstairs to watch TV in our Bedroom. Not going to happen! giggle

Since I have a little free time before Don and I head upstairs I'll finish posting the pictures from Sunken Gardens. And Yes Diane... you need to make the Sunken Gardens one of your stops when you go back to Florida! Enjoy!

WubGood Morning Friends!

Thank you Bev! Glad you enjoyed your tour of the Sunken Gardens. It's like you are walking through a tropical garden and the fact it was off season, Don and I pretty much had it to ourselves.
I know what you mean about not having much time to Chat. I keep busy with my three nests and then all the things around home add to not having enough time in the day!
I have been busy this morning with my reports as after lunch Don and I can begin putting the house back together again. What a job that will be!! But we will be happy to get back to normal again. I think the pups will be happy too as they are missing their free roaming around.

Congratulations to Phoebe on her two new eggs. I am happy that Pungh has worked hard putting netting around the nesting area to keep the crows away. fingers crossed crossed that this works and this clutch will make it to fledge time!

The two females at the Ozarks are still at the nest. They are doing a lot of wingersizing and reaching new heights on branches on the nest. Chance is having a great time flying all around exploring and he loves the lower nest and using it as his bachelor pad. He is trying his best to convince his sisters to fledge. If you look at the nest, it's hard to believe how much of it has fallen to the ground from three active chicks. The sign Thumper put up in the nest used to be covered up with all the sticks Elsie and Einstein brought in during nestorations. Not the sign is a good foot or more above the nest line. fingers crossed it holds up till the end of this season!

9:51am- Spirit up and Sunshine down. Notice the sign!? Oh the shame

The Dunedin chick has fledged, but coming back to the nest for the night and feedings. I am leaning towards it being female as I think there is a good amount of beading on the neck. Just haven't gotten a good enough look as the cam only stays on for a couple minutes at a time. I wish they would go with another server so the cam would run without interruptions.

The Hellgate pair had us worried as Dad appeared with blood on the right side of his chest. At first Erick and Heiko thought it was blood from the fish he had brought to the nest. But further observations led to it being a wound probably from the eagle that nests in the area. A few years ago the male was lost due to an attack by the eagle. The puncture wounds caused internal bleeding and when it was taken to the vet, more internal injuries seen by X-rays resulted in having to put it down.
It was determined this Dad is alright as he is doing everything he did before and the wound actually looks like it healing well! We're all happy about that.

Guess I better get up into the shower and in a couple hours the work begins! Have a great day all! Be back when time allows!
