Scott, One of the "girls" who takes me to dr. and chemo appts. went to Alaska this month and loved it. She did the sea cruise and also a land tour and had a great view of so much wildlife.
Wouldn't you just love to stand on that lookout and shoot some great pictures with your camera? Wow!


Just got 10! I am ready to go get that little guy in front of the falls a salmon and toss it to him. Poor thing!


The one on the right had just finished eating a salmon down from the falls and was coming back to falls. No harm, no foul. It moved off when the other took offense.

I was watching the one in front of the falls too Nanc and finally saw it get a fish.
"Location, location, location" seems to apply to your spot on the river as well as to where your home is located.
Great that your friend was able to take the Alaskan cruise. That would be a pretty cool trip.

Woke in the middle of the night...was watching with y'all.

Saw several good catches...& many gulls flying overhead.

Enjoyed watching the gulls as a few bear took their catch near the small island to dine.

Counted ten bears fishing @ one time...nice cam view.

Jean, How funny, I was leaving the s'caps until you could see them! Wish we knew you were there. I wouldn't have talked Scott's ear off. Could have talked off your ears instead. Really fun viewing and so glad that small bear who was in front of falls got one.

Scott, thanks for the info on the small bear getting a fish. There were some confrontations and discussions about location for sure. More seemed to happen on the wooded side away from camera side. The later it got the more bears I saw.

I am going to delete my s'caps just in case. Just sent a request to the explore.org site to ask permission to post them here. They allow posting to facebook and all kiinds of places so I will be very optimistic that they would be agreeable to getting more attention from a not-for-profit site that promotes wildlife education and research. I will let you know when I hear from them.

Just peeked in at the kalakotkas nest and saw S8 showing us those beautiful wings.

Thanks everyone for all the beautiful pics, videos, chat. It is so nice to be here. Sorry I didn't post sooner. It's just been so miserable with this heat and humidity. I read and then I seem to rest. Don't want to go outside and don't want to exercise with this heat but other than that I'm doing fine.

Hope everyone stays cool and hope those that need the rain get some soon. It's been hit and miss here with the storms. We may get one tonight but we'll have to wait and see. I sure hope Iona gets some rain.. They need it bad along with many others..
