Good Morning Friends,
Laurie, I had to laugh when I saw your post of the day. I had just come in from spotting a young box turtle on my driveway. It was moving slow but sure. I moved it to a safer spot, since the kitty cat is out and about and took a few photos to share here. It is a youngster for sure.
Gord, I have a perfect remedy for your sore boys, ICE! Sounds like a great bike ride my friend. We will have to talk soon. How about next Wednesday night?
Kathy, Sounds like you had a window with a view, not so lucky at my house.
Elle, The shortbread sounds like it is not cooperating at all. Your clothing selection for Nora's funeral sounds lovely. Nora's photo is also lovely and I would much rather look like Mary Ann then Ginger. I loved your photos of the Mom hummingbird and her young. How are they doing? It sounds like you and Ian have found a great mattress. It can make a big difference in a good nights sleep.
Scott, I have loved reading the romance stories between June and Harry. I love the photo of them nose to nose. Also interesting reading June and the deer leg for dinner.
Judy, Have you and Gary gotten the new job?
Doreen, Wonderful captures from the Osprey nest. Their young are very cool as is the parents. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Nancy, Thanks, the peregrine family and eagle family has been great to watch this year and to do it with others has been great fun. I will be posting photos at the thread today before I go to work.
Lori, Try to stay cool my friend. Our nights have been cool and lovely, days more hot, but no humidity. Great for outdoor activities.
Annie, I loved your video of Echo with the gull wing. They have really grown. I imagine they will fledge soon too.
Jean, I'm so glad you are having a good time in Denver. I hope that computer gets its act together for you GF.
Things have quieted down at the peregrine falcon site. the young are flying higher and catching some of their own food. There is still action at the eagles nest and I will be going there on Monday. I have made friends on facebook with someone that lives in that area and she said one of the juveniles was perched on the old snag tree yesterday and one was branched. She said she did not see the third. I will be heading to the thread to post photos from last week. Then it is off to work.
