Good Morning Friends,
Just wanted to stop in and say hello before I say see you soon. I will be working this evening and then the family and i will be heading to the Black River for the week-end. The weather looks to be perfect with lots of sun and warm temps. Lovely for tubing and any other fun we have planned. We will be going to Johnsons Shut Ins again on Sunday.
Thanks Nancy, I hope all is going well with you my friend. I got your phone # from Gord last night and thought I would give you a call next week. How about Wednesday evening? I promise not to keep you long, just want to say hi.
Scott, What a cute picture painted by the post of Bill and Sharon two year old black bears spending some time together eating Caterpillars. Lovely nest with blue eggs. It reminded me of Bird Talk, I need to get back to posting new birds. Things have just been a little busy with the falcons and Eagles.
Lori, Wonderful videos by friend!!!!! Thank you for sharing them with us. Fledglings everywhere, is that not wonderful.
Well I'm off to pack and then get ready for work. Here are a few more photos from yesterday of the very beautiful/handsome Fledged young Falcon. The third photo is the male parent bringing in a meadow lark for the youngster to eat. Boy I will sure miss seeing them this weekend. Monday I will be there bright and early. I also have some recording from yesterday and will try to getthem on you tube before I leave for work.
Take Care, you all will be in my thoughts while I'm gone.
On this cliff ledge area young crazy people have spray painted on the cliff wall at some time in the past. This past year a young person fell from the cliffs and died, he had been drinking. I thought the word RIDE look pretty cool behind the young fledging that just took a ride of its life. Oh, to be a young falcon and FLY for the first time.

I would rather spend my life close to the birds than wishing I had wings

:hello:
let's see
Annie, I should get my new appliance next Wed. If this doesn't work, I give up.
Mom doing okay. Moving right along.
Scott, Unbelievable the hordes of those Tent Caterpillars. Yech.
I was wondering about Sharon and then read she was shedding fur around her face. Interesting.
Speaking of Mom, I'm being paged. Later.

:hello:
I have enjoyed the education on the thread this week.........especially the fox screams....I watched the link you provided Lori, and it was very informative about the types of fox sounds...very eerie.
Linda Very awesome Peregrine Falcon chick pictures. It must be a little sad knowing your sweet little find is going to be gone soon, but hopefully they nest there next year.

Donna, :hello:
Lori, taking a break from the nests is a good idea. but I know you are going to be peeking at a couple
Judy, I took a quick look at the loons, I don't think that egg is going to hatch.
Jayden, pretty robe, spiked hair and fantastic smile....what's not to love.
Doreen, :hello:
Scott, June 5th videos of Jewel and cubs. Funny. Jewel was clawing that tree so much to get to the ants, that I thought pretty soon it would be timbeeeeeeer. Then later I saw one cub inside the hollow. I laughed.
Bev :hello:
Carolyn, :hello:
Karen, I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well, but your feeling somewhat better. Take care of yourself.
Judy, thanks for all the EFixes and Africams.
Lori, in video #1, it almost looks like RT got owie feet from the slip off. I know when my birds have hurt themselves, they do the same thing. Look and tuck and put weight and then tuck again. It's a good thing they don't stay hurt for long. Enjoyed watching the other videos too.
Annie, I'm looking forward to your video of Foxy and Echo whenever you have time to post it. Where does that time go? I try catching it but it still stays beyond my reach.
I can't take credit for the fox video and sounds, Lori posted it.
Linda, thoroughly enjoying all the terrific pics of your falcons. They certainly have posed well for you.
Scott, Juliet has 3 stubborn cubs. Need a little paw swat on their tushies. I always wonder when bears eat caterpillars or larvae or Robin's eat worms, etc. do they still wiggle in their tummies? I really don't want to find out though.
I hope Sharon finds Bill a suitable beau.
Linda, excellent back drop for the fledging falcons. It makes a person wonder why kids do what they do, but I think most think they are indestructible. I guess I was one too though. Enjoy your time at Black River Falls. The weather does seem to be a beautiful forecast.
Lori, love the video of the "return" engagement.
Kathy, amazing how intelligent birds are and resourceful. I wonder what they buy with those coins?
Nancy hugaroonies.
Sue got some hugaroonies for you too.
