My SIL Marlene went in for a "keyhole" colostomy today. There was a tumour blocking her colon, which the doctor said was actually a good thing as it prevented the cancer from spreading more than it has (it is already in some lymph nodes). It is stage 3 but the doctor is hoping with the procedure today they can shrink the tumour with radiation and chemo and then remove the remainder of the tumour and close the colostomy later. So she needs our prayers more than ever right now.
