I was taking s'caps when I got home a little while ago, BR was feeding the chick. Second chick was there but not ready for feeding. The mods are saying that the first chick is not trying to hurt #2, but that they cannot see well yet and some of it is also just falling over!

Naoma, thanks I was taking s'caps and then taking care of feeding the dogs and me and glad you got them up. I will see if I have any of the surrounding area so others can see where the nest is at Cornell.
Love your s'caps! Glad you got Ezra with the chicks and then BR feeding. Big Red is back on the nest and has them covered again.

Lori! I love the 2 cams on this nest. Alex was giving a tour with the one camera a little while ago. Beautiful campus.
I got one s'cap when Mom was feeding and you can see clearly the pip in egg #3 and we could also see movement.
Mom (Big Red) is feeding chick #1, Chick #2 is to the right of 1, and the pip is in the egg in the bottom left corner and you can see the chick in it.

Nanc! thanks Hon for that and for the luck with poisons. Just finished supper and hoping I feel better so I can get them in at my usual time. If I still feel extra ickers I'll do them during the night instead but they'll get in there!

Nesties, here is one view from the light pole (almost 80 ft, up) showing the road beside the nest. You can hear the buses coming and going all day. The athletic fields are to the left of the picture which is what the light poles are for ! This is a very busy area. Scott, there is an ice hockey rink near it according to Alex who was doing the camera, but I missed it. They also said the GBH nest is 2.5 miles away.
