Good Morning My Dear Friends,:hello:
Today is an exciting one, I head to Alton to meet Sarah the representative of the eagle photo contest. I will update you when I get home.
Iona, Thank you for the update on the loses in your area from that horrible shooting. I'm so glad to hear that some of the victims are healing. I will be more careful, the man and the people in the tower watching will make my visits to the nest different this year. I do not believe once the bushes and trees fill with leaves anyone from the tower will be able to spy from the sky.
Nancy, It sound like you are having a wonderful visit with your son and family. What beautiful photos you brought us, I love that beautiful Mute Swan and Coot.
Dede, I'm so sorry to hear you and your hubby are ill. Please get some rest and I hope your hubby follows up with his doctor. I'm like him also, I work out no matter what, I know it is not good, but it is like brushing my teeth, a habit. I'm so sorry about your MIL's condition, she and your MIL are in my prayers my friend.
Lovely photos from your trip, love those mountains.
JudyH, Good to hear from you and I have been there and done all of that. When I first started watching the nests I was being late for work. After my first call to for being late, I changed that habit fast. I also remember losing five pounds, due to skipping meals, afraid I would miss something at the nests. Then I settled in and found how to handle it all, sort of. The good news is the great friends I have made here at HWF and all the wonderful eagles things I have learned.
I look forward to seeing more of you here at the EA Nest and HWF.:hello:
Scott, Thanks for starting our day and for the link to our beloved bears my friend.
Judy, Thank you for your video and eagle captures GF. I hope what you posted is true about the body of LIL Bit being buried under the nest bedding. May it soar for ever in eagle heaven.
Well I better get moving, see you all later.:hello:

Lori, where is the discussion forum you posted the image from? I have looked high and low on HWF and find no listing for that nest. I seem to have more trouble finding certain nests and the discussions that accompany them -- and if I do find the thread it is an old one from 2010 - 2011 nesting season! But, I've not found any thread that has the name Vian or Okla. or Sequoyah. :dunno: What am I missing here?
Some of these nests have multiple names as well which doesn't help. Like Shepherdstown is also W. Va. and I think you also call it NCTC or something like that. But then again, I'm usually confused.
