NBG UPDATE: This was Dad a bit ago on branch behind the nest. Female #3, otherwise known as DT, has not been seen since yesterday morning. Intruder is still in the area of the Gardens. I'm working and keeping an eye on that nest and will update if anything transpires.

Good Morning Friends! Guess who came to breakfast??



I'm late getting here as Don and I were out in the backyard early this morning trimming our Knock Out rose bushes. Got that done and now it's time to shower, dress and head out for our Friday Lunch/Dinner date.

My eagle is still riding in the back of my van. Tim said he would come over today and help Don get him into our back yard. Guess if it's not raining, Don will call him when we get back from eating out and running some errands. We have to stop at Lowes for a patio block to put the eagle on. I think I know where I want him to make his home at in our backyard. Certainly a place where there's no risk of pine tree brances or trees falling down on him.

good morning everyone, finally had some time to catch up on pst couple days. loved reading many of the posts, and viewing all the beautiful photos. the videos were spectacular, the NBG fight was sad fot poor mom and dad, he just can't get a break Lori, you're right! loved the Whisperer Scott, ty, wish all mankind thought and felt like hime. ty all for many many good things here.

muddy: When I watched Tuesday's first episode of Season 3 - Hope for Wildlife- I set the PVR to record all new shows and this morning there were 13 shows on the list of recorded shows. None of them " new". So I have now deleted 12 and next Tuesday I'll try again with the second episode.

The heat is on in Campbell River over the eagle tree that was felled at the end of February. Campbell River is about a 4-5 hour drive north of Victoria on Vancouver Island where I live.

My Eagle has Landed!







We picked a spot in the yard where he can roost and not be in danger of falling branches or trees. Now comes the task of painting him. I've given it a lot of thought as to whether he should remain as is or be painted, and I think the latter will be the best option. That way he will be protected from mildew and pittings from the elements. Looks like another big project on my agenda now!
