Birdsie Raptor is on Facebook but she hasn't been frequenting the forum as far as I know. No more Sidneys to watch. Some lose interest; some leave freely and others get chased away. Members come and go for many reasons.

Dede: The old Sidney nest is still there and still looks exactly the same. We have had fierce wind storms and amazingly it remains intact. You never know, this years eaglets may fly there when they have fledged because it is right across the road in a direct line with nothing in the way. If that were to happen I am not sure the cam is operational in the old nest. I seem to recall there was some maintenance that had to be done that was abandoned when it was evident Ma and Pa were building a new nest.

Ian and I are going to see Ladysmith Black Mambazo at the University of Victoria tonight. I have seen them once before but it was a long time ago.
They are famous for singing the intro to the Walt Disney movie - The Lion King.
