Ed, there were at least 15 photographers out on the marsh when we arrived and several others ventured out while we were there Mad They were out there because they had the sun behind them instead of having to shoot into the sun WhistlingClick bigger.

Kay, Great pictures! Thank you so much.

We see a number of Black Crowned Night Herons here occasionally. They are adorable. At Brazos Bend State Park the little Blue Herons are so cute. And once when I kayaked with hubby on Lake Woodlands we went up into the marsh and saw an American Bittern. Pretty cool!

Thanks Carolyn hug The first Black-crowned Night Heron I saw was at SeaWorld in San Diego in Apr. 2010. It was perched on top of a rock overlooking the dolphin pool.
