We see a number of Black Crowned Night Herons here occasionally. They are adorable. At Brazos Bend State Park the little Blue Herons are so cute. And once when I kayaked with hubby on Lake Woodlands we went up into the marsh and saw an American Bittern. Pretty cool!

Thanks Carolyn The first Black-crowned Night Heron I saw was at SeaWorld in San Diego in Apr. 2010. It was perched on top of a rock overlooking the dolphin pool.
