Poor little R2... really took a beating from R1 during this feeding. It is so hard to watch... but I suppose eaglets have to learn both dominance and submission in order to survive...
Watch out R1... paybacks coming your way... LOL

2.50 ish... Feeding begins.

3.00 Feeding ends... R2 got nothing but pecked and pounded ... He cried out a lot.
Mom is stepping into bowl, but before she does she steps on R2 going after a fly... a little crying heard...
R2 is going to grow up to be tough one day... Hopefully sooner than later.

3.18 Fighting is occuring as mom broods... Mom gets up to assess the situation. R1 is one fiesty eaglet.
3.21 R1 just won't let up on R2... Mom goes back to brooding and you can still hear R2 crying out....
There is a big difference in the "I have a need" chirp and the "I am in pain" chirp.

Parent calls out from a distance
3.26 Mom flies off.
3.27 Dad returns and stands over the headless fish... pondering...
He walks closer to the lets to see if they are hungry. We know R2 is hungry.
I hear children in the background.
Dad picks up the fish and begins eating for himself... One eaglet watches.
He finally offers one let a bite. Other let is sleeping. I am not sure which let is which... I am hoping this is R2.

This has to be R1 as she is attacking some nesting material and twisting her head...
Little one wakes up and looks around.
R1 scoots back over to little one... I think for warmth...
Oh no... R1 just decides to peck R2 for no reason... It was a doosy...

3.43 Dad trumpets while lets sleep
3.46 Dad walks over and begins brooding the babies...





Taking a break... at least trying to...but will have cam on...
(I keep trying to get some things done but this family won't let me. LOL)
