Thanks for stopping by Larry.Hello

I took my camera when we went for a walk around our neighbourhood today and lo and behold an eagle was flying around - got my camera out but it was out of batteriesFrustration. The eagleGrin followed us to our house and flew around our property - high up though - it was a mature eagle.

Saw either Ma or Pa Stalashen through our telescope earlier today.Sitting eagle

I will check the next time we are at Porpoise Bay to see if we can spot the eagles there. (We usually see some flying around or in a tree.) We have friends who live close to the Campground.

Hello What an interesting day. We left Gibsons in full sun anticipating the same in Davis Bay to discover fog by Roberts Creek and on into Davis Bay! Oh My We thought we would get a lot of eagle action in the sun but stopped for only 1 juvie perched near the washrooms again. Just getting over the flu I realized I had overdone my expectations so along with that and the fog we didn't venture any further than to drive under the nest tree. One adult in the tree flew away as we arrived, too soon to take a picture. Sad
The beak on the juvie was yellow, sitting up there in the fog.
By the way Larry, last time we were at Porpoise Bay Jan 12 we saw both adults in trees near where their old nest was.

Good pictures Sandra taken in the "fog".Laugh

Yes, we occasionally get fog it pours out of Sechelt Inlet and heads up Roberts Creek way. I believe other areas close to the water were getting foggy weather today.

Sorry to hear that you had the flu.

Went by the Stalashen nest this morning and saw one in the tree, I took pics but they are not worth posting - like a silhouette.
While we were at Wilson Creek saw one fly over.

3:03p.m. Sun is out and both in the Stalashen nest tree.
Although the eagle pics are no good look at the beautiful sunrise we had today.

Hello I took advantage of the sunny springlike day yesterday to walk through Mission Park and onto the beach with my camera but nary an eagle to be seen. Sad Around 1:30-1:40. Men were putting a deck on that old house in the park and apparently the inside is finished. What I could see through the open door looks quite nice.
On to the car to discover both adults in our nest tree. They sure aren't very cooperative lately as by the time I parked one had flown away and before I got my camera turned on and readied, the second one had pooped and flown away. Once again, just a minute too late. sigh sign At least I saw them both where they should be. Left thumb up
I also spotted one atop a tree on the property at 5135 on the highway. Sitting eagle

10:30a.m.Through our telescope - one Stalashen eagle is on a branch in the nest tree.

Glad you had a nice walk through Mission Point Park on that lovely sunny day we had and that you saw our Stalashen eagles.Clapping

Over the last few days we have seen a few Sitting eagle fly by and in trees also our local ones that fly over our house. We often see eagles when we drive along Hwy 101. We went for a drive yesterday but didn't see any eagles in the Kinnikinnick nest tree 2 were up high soaring. None spotted in the Shoreline nest.Sad

It's a dull day here right now.
