7:16a.m. Good morning another Sunny day today.
Stalashen Nest through the telescope. I was lucky and managed to get pics of Pacer.Clapping Click 2X
Shortly after I took these Pacer went down in the nest again. A crow was dive bombing the nest; I've seen a crow around lately.

wave We have such devoted parents here as witnessed by you Marg, once again through your telescope and by me at the nest today. I started by walking onto the Davis Bay beach around 1:30 as tide went out to see an adult eagle land beyond just as I started. On I trudged in that direction, toward the creek when I spotted what I hoped would be awesome feeding for all interested washed up on shore. As I approached I discovered not so, a piece of driftwood with what looked like a large fish tail. Oh My

While on the beach I saw an adult fly away on the other side of the creek towards the nest but couldn't see the nest tree. I did see a number of crows get into action. Sad
On I walked to the neighbourhood to find both parents, one in the nest, one on a branch, with many crows swooping in and actually landing in the tree! Wooh I've not seen that cheekiness so obvious before! The eagles were talking but not raising intruder alerts. Maybe planning their mode of attack?

Adult flew out of the nest which I missed capturing because of talking and walking with the friends of someone living there. Sad Adult from branch dropped into the nest. Then I had to stop and shoot this pic as we walked together. Pacer!!!Bravo

I'm so glad I caught this as I missed many good action moments during my half hour there, 2-2:30 because of being cordial to 3 sets of friendly people. Laugh

The other adult dropped down into the nest to proceed with feeding. Not a poop shot, a feeding shot.

The other adult flew in pursued by crows.

Then onto a branch. Prey delivery? I don't know. I was still talking to a neighbour, "3. Again the verbalizing was more complaining about the crows than intruder alert.

Adult on the branch flew off and on leaving the area I could hear it in trees by the beach but could not find it.

Crows continued to dive bomb the remaining adult.

One of the people I spoke with says that about a month ago an octopus washed up onto the beach and the 2 adults shared it with about 5 juvies. Left thumb up Missing some good shots because of visiting is worth it when we can learn more about our lovely pair. Nodding

You had a good visit Sandra and great action shots.ClappingCheers

The crows sometimes sit on a branch in the tree, even fly close to the eagles and they really go for the head of the eagle.Oh My Sometimes there's just one but usually a few.

Ma & Pa Stalashen are good parents one or both are in the tree watching over our eaglet Pacer.Clapping

Will look at the nest tonight but early this morning I did see either Ma or Pa in the tree but Pacer was low in the nest probablySleepy.
