Hi everyone! I haven't posted since last year but I've been so looking forward to osprey season, I saw the female a little while ago, how wonderful!! Mare

Hello Mare! Thanks for stopping in.

Our female was at the nest for a long time this afternoon. Not sure if her mate has arrived yet. It is interesting to watch her move some sticks around in the nest, dig around a little and even do her belly slides like she is starting to get the egg bowl ready. Hopefully her mate will be back tomorrow and we can capture some s'capes of both of them at the nest. I understand it's quite common for one to arrive days before the other. Looking forward to a good season with healthy chicks and plenty of food!

I was watching her for about a half hour, then had to leave. When I returned, she was gone. Do you know the date last year when the male came back? Mare

6:56am- It looks like work has begun at the nest. New bedding!

9:31am- Mom is back at nest this morning. Still watching so I don't think her mate has arrived home yet!
