Afternoon Davenport

Happy New Year to all of our family here

230 pm
Nest is empty; gusty winds rock the nest at times.
No sign of our birds everytime I checked.


310 pm
Still no sign of our birds everytime I checked.
A capture of their nest today for comparison purposes.

There are gusts up to 60 mph in the area of the nest....wind warning still in effect till tomorrow. Talons crossed our family and their nest remains safe.

510 pm
Still no sign of our birds but you can see broken branches
laying in the nest bowl now...likely placed there by the wind.

The nest looks pretty good all things considered.

Debs, I noticed the nest rockin and rollin in the wind also. I have not spotted the eagles here today.

Donna :hello: I just checked the nest again and it looks okay so far. Liberty and Justice were probably tucked in somewhere warm today :lol:

Dark but we have enough light to see
the nest....all looks well. The wind gusts are now down
to 49 mph ...abit of an improvement from 60 mph earlier
today.

Happy New Year!
2012 should be great year for viewing the Alcoa EagleCam. For those of you who live in the Quad City area, look for our booth at Quad City Bald Eagle Days January 6-8 at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island. In addition to streaming video from the nest, we will have temporary tatoos for the kids and a calendar card you can use to note important activities in the nest this year. Happy eagle watching!

Good Mornin Davenport

Another weather disturbance in this area prompting another weather warning
for today....snow is now falling at the nest too.

The nest looks pretty good today despite the windy conditions the last couple
of days.

Nest looks great this morning perhaps a few more branches
in the bowl but looking good.... and weather improved.
