Nothing screams 'America!' like watching eaglets hatch

;If you're looking to feel patriotic, you can hop on over to the Alcoa website and watch baby bald eagles hatch before your eyes. But you better hurry, as one eaglet has already emerged from an egg, and the other two babies are expected to hatch in the next day or so. The "EagleCam" at Alcoa's Davenport, Iowa, facility was set up in 2010 after two eagles, appropriately named Liberty and Justice, built a 7-foot nest there. Last year, nearly 1.5 million people visited the site to watch a baby eagle hatch. You can also follow along on Twitter, with the #alcoaeaglecam hashtag.

Dad watching while Mom feeds the little one--family time.

Mom left so Dad gives feeding a try...UMMM...baby look at Dad!!

Time for Dad to sit...he takes his time and is extremely careful.



About 1PM...Mom's on the nest rail looking around while Dad incubates/broods.



Mom finally has her lunch and Dad listens to the eggs.

Mom is sitting right on Dad She did that for quite a while.



About 1:20PM...another feeding. Mom and Dad were sharing the duties--taking turns. It was wonderful to watch.

Welcome Eaglet #2.

6:28 Mpmom shows that chick is working a big hole and crack in the egg.

7:28 Parent is up and we see one chick and the other pushing out of the eggshell.

7:58 Parent is up feeding #1. #2 continues to work its way out of the cracked eggshell. #1 got about 8 bites and parent went back to incubate, brood. There were little cheeps heard.
