I got this one at 7:30PM. Mom was on the nest still panting from the heat.





I have a bunch of scaps that I didn't have time to post...will do so in the morning...I'm beat!

Thanks for leaving a couple of posts for me, Donna...that will more or less keep them in order.

From 1PM (on the 14th) nest time and lasting about an hour.There really wasn't too much going on . Mom was quietly incubating when several flocks of geese went by the nest. Most of the s'caps are just a study in her expressive face as she watces the geese...she never moved or got up

Boy there sure are a lot of those big gray birds! She is panting...warm in the nest. Temps in Iowa are high for March

A look ahead of the weather for the weekend.


Dad on the nest. It is quiet here and the eagle seems warm. Also look at all the comfy bedding in the nest bowl.

10:00 to 10:05 The eagles have switched and mom is moving several sticks. She has to do a balancing act to stay out of the nest bowl. She ends up on the fence at 12 to get the job done. She goes back to get another stick, moves it a bit higher and then turns to the nest bowl. She moves over and digs a bit, rolls the eggs and settles.

Donna...That was strange to see her standing on the rail in your s'caps! You don't see that a lot but then this is a smallish nest and she is a big girl.

I do have just a couple more pics from yesterday, the 14th.

Where did they go?
