Mom's been in and out of the nest a lot today. She is standing out on the limb (board) at the moment. I've noticed her sneezing quite a bit. Usually it occurs just after she presses her beak along the bottom and sides of the bowl while securing new materials. Chin

Thanks for the observations, Jude, Grin

Did not get a lot of cam time today but saw some activity just after 3:00 pm EDT. Looked like Dad (?) "Pops" brought a fish to the nest. Mom (?) got all excited, of course, and left with the afternoon snack.

3:03 pm,
"Pops" in with a fish.

Peggy, do you think that it's Dad in the close-up who stayed on the nest after Mom left with the fish? Don't Know

sleepy Good MorningMug of coffee
Cal your pictures are wonderful of dad bringing the fish into the nest and mom flying off with it. I missed that little tid-bit yesterday. I peek in often throughout the day and report what I see at that moment. I've been so thankful for people like you who post the pictures and videos when the rest of us are off line. This truly IS a team effort and we've got a good team!
Thank You

Misty morning at the nest. Rain is heading in for the day. Mom sits at the nest clipping twigs with her beak. She moves sticks around, nearly falling over when pushing one too close to the edge of the nest.
She takes a moment to clear out her crop. Her head is down, hanging over the edge of the nest. She opens her beak and shakes her head back and forth to dislodge the item troubling her.
She becomes inpatient waiting for pops to return. She fly's away.

Thanks for the updates and pictures Jude and Cal! Smile Cal, it sure looked like Dad on the nest in your pic (after Mom left with the fish). I haven't taken any pics since I usually just see one on the nest (nothing exciting). I'll get the pics when the eggs and then the chicks arrive.

Not a nice day today, but everything's blooming and turning green from the rain. I think I read somewhere that the fishing's good for the osprey in the rain. I could be wrong, which I am a lot of time! Laugh The nest is empty right now.

Mug of coffee Mornin' all,
Looks like mom is on the nest doing some nestorations.

Mom lays down in the nest....
....pops fly's in for a quick mating.....then fly's off. Never had a chance to put his wings at rest.
He must have had a lot of...Mug of coffee this morning or something.

Three minutes later he returns again.

Busy morning up there in Ayers Whistling

Mom is laying down in the nest.
The wind is blowing. She is nervously keeping watch. She seems to be annoyed by small birds zipping around the top of the dam. To me, they look like grackles.
