It was too dark for pics and I was too busy to try for a video, but did see both moving around during a couple of feedings this afternoon and evening. And I'm wondering what tomorrow will bring. Grin

Good to see you here, Peggy - and I hope the cam works well for you. I haven't been watching a lot, but it's seemed quite good so far. Left thumb up

Mug of coffeeGood Morning to all. sleepy After a busy day yesterday I've managed to crawl to my computer to see our new family. Mom is sitting on the kids but keeps re-adjusting herself and looking underneath. She seems wrestless.
.....mmmmChin could it be another? Don't Know
I'll be counting beaks as soon as it's feeding time. Her crop seems full though.

What I find interesting this morning:

Still have 2 chicksGrin

There is a weather front moving in this morning. Thunder storms and heavy rain will be approaching the nest this morning. It is interesting to me that dad came in with a fish just after my last posting (probably the same one he tried to offer mom earlier).
Mom left the nest for a short while, then returned with a fish or her own. While mom was gone, pop tried to feed the chicks but they were not hungry. Mom returned and placed her fish in the bowl just before settling down on the chicks. Meanwhile dad flew off with his fish. Are they storing up food because of the appoaching storms?

Dad's been arranging sticks on the nest. Seems to be hanging out with the family quite a bit this morning. Fun to see the action today.
Mom has something large and white just under her chin but on the edge of the nest. I was out of the room for a short time and when I returned it was there. Any guesses to what it is???Don't KnowClick on image to downloadThe last time I saw something like that I thought it was an egg shell.Whistling Hmmm......Chin

Because I am not at the nest sight to see where the parent osprey is right now....I'm nervous because the nest is exposed.Click on image to download

Glad you're watching, Jude. I was also getting concerned about how much the adults were away from the nest this morning. One of them is there now, settled in and brooding, but very aware of his/her surroundings.

JudyB, Thanks for commenting about the state of birds. I'm glad that you witnessed the same thing I did. Sometimes I wonder if what I'm seeing is something other than what I think it is. Wish I were up there today.

Great pics Jude & Cal; thank you!Grin I have a very short video of a feeding by Mom. She's so careful with the chicks and used her wings to support herself while bending down to feed the chicks. The video is short because the cam froze on me like it's been doing lately.

Mom feeds the 2 chicks
